Also, they can afford to chill and make sure the scripts have enough time to be developed. Disney owns fucking Pixar and Marvel (and now all of Marvel). They are not in want of tentpole releases.

FYI to SW fans but, Anakin Skywalker's father was revealed in a comic. It's canon. And it's disappointing.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Apparently this was in an early draft of Lucas's Revenge of the Sith script. Telling that Lucas had the sense to cut it out but they didn't.

I won't read the comic most likely, so please spoil.

What a waste of a great artist.

    Such a dumb idea.

I don’t give a crap who Anakin’s father is anyways.

It’s like the writers are purposely focusing on the least interesting parts of the saga.

I don't feel anything about this revelation. Good or bad. Shrug.

Wasn't that a rumor of how Rey would be born as well?

It's pretty hard to care about Star Wars lore anymore. Twelve-year-old me would have been fascinated. Adult me not so much.

I mean, say what you will about the thudding symbolism of Jesus' virgin birth being transplanted onto Anakin, at least it hangs together.

Wait a minute...what if the missing 18 years of Christ's life he was off slaughtering Jedi and ruling the galaxy before he turned it around?

    Quote Quoting Bigger Luke
Bigger Luke, commonly abbreviated to BL, or more uncommonly BgL, is the slightly larger manifestation of Luke Skywalker that is said to appear in certain scenes of the original Star Wars Trilogy, contrasting to Regular Luke.

The appearance of Bigger Luke in a particular scene is generally, but not always, judged relative to the height of Han Solo, and as such Han is the primary go-to frame of reference amongst Bigger Luke Theorists. Because of this, "No Han Pics"(commonly abbreviated to NHP) are generally discouraged, as it is very difficult to determine Luke's height without Han Solo as a constant frame of reference. Whilst uncommon, the use of other Star Wars characters to judge Luke's height are not unheard of. The second most common character to judge if Bigger Luke is in the scene or not has generally been Obi-Wan, followed closely by Princess Leia. The activity of combing the original Star Wars trilogy for instances of Bigger Luke is known as Luking.
I've never heard of this fan theory before, but it's the most delightfully bonkers thing I've read in years.

Far too many porgs remain in avatars on this site for my liking. It's giving me hives.

The real tragedy is that nobody put a Porg reflection in Ridley's helmet glass.

Recently, I was reminded that Weird Al wrote these lyrics in 1985:

"Well, I heard my friends really got in a mess
So I'm gonna have to leave Yoda I guess
But I know that I'll be coming back some day
I'll be playing this part 'till I'm old and gray."

I'd be careful saying such things openly. Porgs are beloved by many, even at the highest levels of Match Cut.

Looks like Rian Johnson's trilogy has gotten cancelled, in case anyone thought there was a chance it would actually happen.

EDIT: Sources aren't anything that I would trust... But, it's out there.

I'm happy if this is the case. Not because I'm not a fan of The Last Jedi, but because I'd rather see Rian's original work.

    That's such a wild rumor.

On one hand, fucked if true. On the other, maybe an implementation of the strategy Iger talked about months back?

Rian will be okay. Warner Bros is always hiring.
