Yep! Starts next month. I think it's a full 26-ish episode season and it brings back a lot of key personnel (including the same director/script supervisor). Pretty sure I read it'll be simulcast on the usual streaming channels.

You're in for a treat with Season 5 when they move away from the ISIS stuff. It reaches new heights of absurdity with every episode.

The whole Bob's Burgers thing at the beginning of the season was one of the funniest and most clever openers I've seen in a long time. Too bad I have wait an entire year for the next season. Oh, well.

Rev. season 3 just started this week. One of my favourite current shows, if people are looking for a new comedy to watch.

I was really sore today and I started Season 5 episode 5 of The Good Wife. It was pretty much my favorite episode of the series so throughout the day I marathoned the show up until last week's episode. So for anyone that has seen it like EvilShoe up there, I had watched 11 episodes and ended with that. It's not too often that I verbally react to moments in television but boy howdy did I react. Anyone behind on the show don't google the show right now or you'll be spoiled pretty quick.

Season 2, Episode 16, "Shadow Play" would be the first episode of DS9 I've fully enjoyed. Most of S2 has been passable, but occasionally dumb (I'm looking at you, "Rivals").

Odo, Dax and Quark are stand-outs. I like them best. I'm indifferent toward Sisko and Kira. I'm beginning to dislike O'Brien. Bashir has annoyed me from episode 1. So have the kids. I don't know if this show's gonna win me over, but I'mma keep going.

So How I Met Your Mother ended almost precisely the way I assumed it was going to for a few years now, with some Mother-specific details only coming into focus this year.

    Somehow I'm fine with that.
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

    Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
    Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
    Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
    Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
    What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
    Diva (Beineix, 1981)
    Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
    The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
    Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
    Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)

Yeah I know there's undoubtably backlash about the how I met your mother finale from die-hards but I really liked it. It was satisfying, it hit all the marks I wanted it to and it ended just about how I would expect.

It wasn't great the whole way through, but most of the signs about where the finale was going have been there for a long time. I wasn't livid or anything, as the majority of the internet appears to be.

This last season was actually really good.

    Mushishi is good.

Ever see the live action film?

I've been watching Frasier. That show is great. Love the chemistry between all the characters.

Organizational question: if a 2013 TV season crossed over to the new year, do we move it to the 2014 forum?

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

The writing was on the wall for a while, but I still hated it. It was just a really bad direction to go and felt like they boxed themselves into that ending more than anything else.
