I'm going through the second season of Masters of Horror.
Currently at episode 8, and I've only enjoyed three episodes so far: Family, Sounds Like and Pelts.

Pro-Life is worth recommending for how hilariously awful it is, though.

You can also tell an episode is doomed if you see the words "Written by Mick Garris".
    Last movies seen
    Frank: Good
    Mistaken for Strangers: Good
    Guardians of the Galaxy: Good

    Last TV seasons watched

    Treme (S04): Good
The Legend of Korra (S03): Good

    Currently reading
This Side of Paradise - F. Scott Fitzgerald

Pro-Life was written by AICN's Moriarty. That amused me somewhat.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

I finally saw the Harvey Birdman episode that spoofs The Sopranos and mob movies like The Godfather. Man is it glorious and one of the funniest episodes ever. Gotta love their spoof of the opening credits to The Sopranos.

That said, Adult Swim changes their weekday schedule more times than a woman changes her outfits on a daily basis. Seriously.

Watched the first series of Life On Mars, it's good, but I don't see what all the fuss is about.

Spaced on the otherhand is just as good as I've heard. The ending was just perfect.

Because if you don't make a fuss about it, Gene Hunt will rape your mouth with his gun.

But they only use guns about twice throughout the entire first series!

Is that the short with the "wolf" around the station? Loved it.

Anyone planning on watching HBO's John Adams miniseries? I think I'm going to try to keep up with it. Early word is good.

Borrowed Season 1 of Veronica Mars from a friend. Then again, I also borrowed Across the Universe from her. I'm hoping to start the series sometime this week.

The Power of the Dog - 7.5
The King of Pigs - 7

I've got a copy of the the first episode I'm watching tomorrow. Two things I didn't know it had:

    1) Tak Fujimoto
    2) Danny Huston

    I can dig it.

Finished the first two episodes of Season 1 to Veronica Mars. Can I safely assume that Paris Hilton's appearances are now done? She's the only drawback to a fun shift across narrative time.

    Yes. She's gone. You're safe.

How long do you guys give Lewis Black's The Root of All Evil? I give it precisely not very long.
Wishful thinking, perhaps; but that is just another possible definition of the featherless biped.

I saw the last five minutes of an episode earlier this week and it seems fairly funny, but the format was kind of awkward and didn't showcase Lewis Black enough. I love Lewis Black, so it'll be a disappointment if the show sucks.

It doesn't suck, really, it just doesn't seem like a very long-lasting show. It feels like Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn.

Knocked out the 1st season of Veronica Mars this morning. I won't get the hook-up on the 2nd season until Tuesday, at the earliest. I am unabashedly hooked on this show. The first season did a marvelous job at twisting the archetypes of the characters, and the Veronica/Logan relationship developed here was a wonderful build-up. Hopefully the second season doesn't disappoint.

    As Samuel Adams, no less.

Meanwhile, I started The Sopranos last night, watching the first two episodes. I don't know why I always avoided it up until now, but all my fears have been dispelled. This far in and it's already great.

It doesn't, it's better. The third season will, though.
