I'm now basically watching X-Files reruns every day at this point. So many of the stand alone episodes I've viewed are just really weird and at times very creepy. I'm hoping to catch some of the conspiracy episodes though too.

I'm happy that Adult Swim decided to re-air Frisky Dingo. I love that delightfully demented show. Killface should have his own movie.

Started Curb Your Enthusiasm season 5 last night. The first two episodes were bloody brilliant, though the second had me wondering exactly what kind of reality the show had constructed for itself and whether or not it had broken even that. But Larry's agitation of both the lesbian and black communities (and the silly way these communities are portrayed) was ridiculously funny.

Adult Swim is still airing Harvey Birdman episodes. Hell yeah. That show is vastly underrated. And the latest rerun of Frisky Dingo that they showed had me laughing throughout. Thanks to the strike Adult Swim is pretty much the only block of TV shows I watch.

I sent my cable box back to the cable company on Friday after realizing I haven't watched any, y'know, cable in four or five months. I was going to head out and buy an antenna, but it turns out that I can still pick up a very fuzzy (with surprisingly clear audio) NBC, which gives me Conan, which is the only thing I've watched in months.

My own TV (I didn't bring it to school with me-I left the big clunker at home. Its only a 20 inch but it weighs a ton) that's only a year old is the one I use rabbit ears for only. I could get cable for it and such but I don't want to pay for it (I'm broke) plus I don't feel like going through the trouble of getting it hooked up and such. Even though I'm addicted to TCM and Adult Swim really I really mostly watch shows on the regular channels with the exception of CBS. Which I can't get in anyways for some strange reason-I think the signal might be poor.

I just had an interesting experience...

I recently purchased Carnivale Season 1 from Best Buy (which I've already seen) and I am trying to get my friend into the show.

We watched the first two episodes a few nights ago, and tonight I reached for the disc with episodes 3 & 4 on it and found... a duplicate disc of episodes 1 & 2.

I guess I'll bring it back to Best Buy tomorrow... Luckily I saved the receipt (which I never do).

Pushing Daisies is pretty annoying. Way too forced. Occasional lolz but not frequent enought to keep me watching.

Life on Mars, on the other hand, fucking rocks.

How could they make a ridiculously quirky, scatter-brained show without being "forced?" Is there a way for such obviously fantastical, stylized entertainment to seem natural?

Exactly. It's like complaining about time travel paradoxes in the Terminator show...

You bastard. I don't know whether to rep or neg rep you for this. The first part is wrong, but you are oh-so-right in the second. So right, in fact, that I'm willing to give you a rep, because the awesomeness of Life on Mars trumps anything and everything, even 9/11, the Iraq War, and premature ejaculation combined.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

    "Life on Mars" is awesome.

One of the best shows (and concepts) in years.

I just wish it would come to official R1 DVD. I've had to watch it all streaming online, which kinda sucks.

Tonight Adult Swim re-aired an old episode of SeaLab 2021. God I love that show. Even though it was one of the weaker episodes I still laughed a lot and I remembered most of the characters. Hesh and Quinn were always the best ones.

Oh my god ... Colbert playing Herbie Hancock's "Rockit" underneath Rush Limbaugh's impression of Michael J. Fox = comedy gold.

Is nobody else watching Breaking Bad? It's terrific. The second episode was one of the most perfect blends of mordant humor and off-kilter drama I remember seeing on TV. Cranston is outstanding.

I caught the first episode and really liked what I saw. I missed the next episode(s) but I'll probably try to watch them at some point. Cranston is indeed great, but I found some of the things his partner said to be cringe worthy. I can't think of any exact quotes, but his vocabulary rang severely false.

It's basically a remake of Life on Mars, minus the engaging lead character.

I only saw the pilot, so hopefully it gets better.

These reruns of SeaLab 2021 only remind me just how truly awesome that show is. And Frisky Dingo is coming back in March. Wahoo!

Watched an episode and a half of Tell Me You Love Me and I'm giving up. Good lord, what a tedious show. The conflicts between these characters are so inconsequential.

You catch on faster than I do. It took me three episodes. It was probably the sex keeping me around.

Yeah, same. Good call, Spinal. That show is the definition of boring.

Yeah, that's clearly the only thing the show has going for it. And if I'm not watching the show for the writing or the characters, then I can scratch that particular itch elsewhere.
