Yup, I liked it too. As long as it doesn't rely too heavily on the workplace love triangle-y stuff, plays to Kaling's strengths as a female protagonist who's believable because she's not designed to be some easily lovable ideal, and not being afraid of more bizarre touches like the Barbie doll in the pool, then it shouldn't have trouble being consistently enjoyable.Quoting EyesWideOpen (view post)
They also posted Ben & Kate early. It feels a bit rushed and I made the mistake of watching the extended promo they released a few months ago that featured almost all of its best moments. But it's breezy, charming, and it'll fit nicely in its timeslot between Raising Hope, New Girl and Mindy Project, since they have a similar vibes and smartly rely on their strong ensembles (which I'm hoping the new ones will grow to do). Also, the more they decide to utilize Lucy Punch, the better. She almost steals the pilot.
