I thought all flu shots basically gave you a chance of almost immediately getting the flu?

/has never gotten a flu shot

    Wow, very big news today.

Probes orbiting the moon have discovered ice. Billions of gallons of water worth of ice.

    Very cool.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Saw that, and I don't get the outrage from like the Huffington Post crowd and whatnot over him getting arrested. You know, I realize it's been a long time, but he did rape a 13 year and if the Swiss don't extradite him the the US I think that would be a serious miscarriage of justice. They arrested him, though, and that just proves what I've been saying my entire life: The ballsiest country in Europe is Switzerland

He probably shouldn'ta raped that girl.

For some reason, it amazes me when successful people do things like that. After such a great career in films, when he's got that girl drugged and ready, why doesn't he stop and think, "This might have consequences somewhere down the line"? Does he have no self control?

The victim in the sex case, Samantha Geimer, who sued Polanski and reached an undisclosed settlement, has joined his bid to have his case thrown out by the California appeals court, the Associated Press reported.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

A bunch of kids in Panama saw a shaved sloth come out of a cave, thought it was an alien and beat it to death with sticks:

Man, that's sort of funny because it's so demented but for me personally it's fucking terrible. Sloths are my favorite animal.

So, the AIDS Vaccine is confirmed to have worked in its trial phase.

    Why hasn't anyone mentioned this?
    1) It's only something like 30% effective

    2) it's basically a combination of two vaccines which were previously ineffective by themselves, and the scientists aren't exactly sure why, combined, their efficacy has so dramatically increased.

    3) consensus is that this is a more of a huge first leap toward a rather than the vaccine that will be distributed en masse. (still, a 30% reduction in infections would mean 600,000 less people dying of AIDs or complications each year in sub-saharan africa. That's like the population of Boston. Every year. Dying.)

Still, this is pretty big news. At least MPR did a pretty good report on it...

Well, it was a joke. See, general Swiss stereotype is that they're a bunch of pussies. So I was just pointing out the fact that they were uncharacteristically ballsy in detaining Polanski, in that no other European country had arrested him before and it was seemingly agreed on that that ship had long since sailed. I mean, even the Pollacks didn't touch him and I hear they're the toughest sumbitches in all of Europe

Thugs attack two transvestites... who turn out to be cage fighters wearing fancy dress

There's a video. As expected, the hoods get the shit knocked out of them in about three seconds, by guys in dresses and heels. Too funny.
