What is this gas shortage I'm hearing about from Trumpers? I just spent a week traveling around Michigan and Ohio and have barely even seen a price increase let alone lines or shortages.
It's happening on the East coast and in the south. None here as far as I know.

Ha ha. It's everyone's fault. Anyways I never blame the president for gas prices. Also I believe they said the pipeline would be back up soon. I'm pretty sure this is a case for us to move towards better alternative fuels and the like but I'm just a dude who works at HyVee so wtf do I know?

I work for a pipeline company and I'm cool with moving to alternatives. Those industries will need workers too.

Hopefully they'll all be paid minimum wage. At least they can afford one of those $80K houses in Brooklyn.

Forgive me, I'm very tired so my brain isn't up to snuff...

I'm not sure what youre saying? You want workers for alternative energy sources to not make much? I live in an area of very low cost housing compared to rest of country. Baseline for a very basic property is easy 100k. I have to imagine 80k in New York gets you...a refrigerator box?

Sorry, Skitch. Just joking about the article I posted a day or so ago about home prices in Brooklyn.

    Stupid joke. Sorry.

FFS, stop filling plastic bags and totes with gasoline. Good Lord.....

Pretty bad here in Atlanta. This is from gasbuddy. Yellow means "limited gas options" and I don't think it's correct because one of the yellow markers on this map is on the corner of my block. I drove by it today and they took all their pricing down and nobody was filling up. They are clearly out of gas.

Doesn't really affect me though. I have a hybrid and am still working from home. But I really feel for all the commuters.

I get that part, but I just can't understand that choice of container.

I wouldn't panic buy gasoline in the first place, but if I did, I'd use water bottles and buckets before I'd use grocery store bags.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Honestly we will probably need gasoline still for a long time but it would be nice to start the transition to something else.

The gas companies are definitely not discouraging panic buying as far as I know. They probably love it and it's helping them regain a lot of the money they lost last year when the market collapsed.

Ontario is looking to implement a mandatory 3 paid sick days for all work places.

    *crosses fingers*

    This is direly needed.
