Well, this is kind of awesome. Anyone seen the Clint Eastwood movie "Escape From Alcatraz?" Based on a true story apparently. Especially the Yale student ones.. these kids are supposed to be the cream of the crop lol.

That's because his job is to take care of students mental and physical welfare. His position is more or less that of professional RA. He's failed spectacularly.

That's because his position is untenable, and they are naturally incredulous that he doesn't see what they see as he's supposed to be an educated man who teaches at Yale, of all places.
In a nutshell, he's hiding horrible ideas behind the curtain of free speech and doing it on an institutional level.
Yes, and so is he. They're two sides arguing. Coming off as petulant to an indifferent third party is inevitable. It's pretty much a staple of any protest. I think the more important thing is what each side is fighting for, and I believe he's way in the wrong in this.
