    From the article:

Mr. Ratliff’s videos, which starred a friend, Kyle Myers, are popular for their homegrown brand of zaniness — three minutes of Mr. Myers’s casual banter as he rakes targets or blows things up with extreme displays of firepower. Most are made outdoors, where Mr. Myers fires at targets like hay bales or photographs of Justin Bieber, while explaining the merits of various weapons. The videos always end the same way: with a boom.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Oprah will interview Lance Armstrong in his home on January 17th. It'll be his first time going on the record since he was stripped of all his wins. She promises a no-holds-barred interview. It'll be steamed live via oprah.com

What the hell with this nightclub fire in Brazil? It's so horrible it doesn't seem possible.

Unfortunately, it happens more often than one would think. Night club fires are nightmare scenarios.

Well, I'm never going to a club again.

Or possibly, for the first time. I suddenly can't quite place if I've ever been to one.

I'm glad that we dug up the remains of Richard III so that we could bury them again.

Although the excavation did reveal that at one point Richard likely had a spear shoved up his arse, so it wasn't a total loss.

MY GOODNESS. Rumor is that the Alabama hostage-taker is dead and that the boy is alive. (For those who have been following them COMPLETELY INSANE HOSTAGE SITUATION for the last week.)

I'm guess he killed himself. It seems very unlikely that law enforcement would have killed him when they were so anxious not to hurt the child, and the child had remained well for so long. Unless the man was threatening the kid.

Man, they STILL are not going to clarify how the man died. However, it looks like the stormed the bunker because the kid was in "imminent danger."

I can't believe the child came out of everything okay. What a total relief.

Yeah, I've been wondering for a while now if the republicans could regain their mojo by attacking Obama's foreign policy the same way democrats so vociferously decried Bush's policies.

Although that would reveal the underlying amorality of all parties. Hey, they can't do that. Only we can do that.

I'm seriously disappointed in the lack of progressives coming forth to outright condemn this nonsense and call for investigations. Forget your bullshit party affiliation for a moment and think of the precedent this shit sets.

I'm unsurprised. Its why I don't like the Democratic party, although I guess I only strongly dislike them slightly less than then GOP at the moment.

Also I'm really glad I didn't vote for Obama in 2012. Really glad.

PS: I remember in the foreign policy debate when Obama and Romney literally parroted each other on foreign policy, and were okay with drone strikes that kill innocent civilians. That's when I realized that voting third party was better than voting for two equally morally bankrupt fuckers.

Umm, that video is just footage from Modern Warfare 3. What the hell?

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

Depressing statistics on US citizens' support of drone strikes:
I am impatient of all misery in others that is not mad. Thou should'st go mad, blacksmith; say, why dost thou not go mad? How can'st thou endure without being mad? Do the heavens yet hate thee, that thou can'st not go mad?

I'm increasingly exhausted with the framing of the drone issue in terms of US citizenship. Like all of a sudden it's a bad thing because of victim nationality.
