Hello Qrazy. It is 3:07 am over here and I have a bit of a foreign substance up in me.

It's not insomnia, but my sleep schedule is unorthodox. I go to bed at 4 every night, and wake between 11 and 12. I've done it for years.

I have a similar schedule - go to sleep at 5-6 am, wake up at 4 pm.

Mine shifts all over the place. It's also not insomnia per se in that it's not chronic but sometimes it gets shifted. Lately I can't get to sleep before 2-5am. I wake up around noon. Prior to this I was going to bed around 11-12 and getting up at 8 or 9am. Right now it's a bit problematic because I have an 8:30am class but whatever. I can cover the material from the text.

I'm less of an insomniac and more someone who really just doesn't like to sleep (it's a waste of my time). I generally go to sleep between midnight and 1am and wake up at 5:30 am for work.

I had terrible, crippling insomnia all the way through college. Prescription sleep aids just led to a whole new set of problems.

I've evened out since then, but I still have a bad night every six months or so. (A bad night means more than not sleeping: sweating, itchy skin, and sometimes feverish, waking dreams.)

I've done this for a while, and it's starting to take a toll. More naps are needed, motivation is tough. Ugh, hate it.

I feel compelled to point out that I love sleeping. I particularly love dreaming.

Lack of sleep makes me more than usually angry, irrational, and prone to throwing things for emphasis.

I get a bit more than you, but I also hate sleep. I go to bed around 1 am and wake up at 7 or 7:30 for work. Sleep is such a giant waste of time. There are so many other things I'd rather be doing.

I never feel healthier, happier, smarter or more creative then after I've woken from a long sleep. I wouldn't give up sleep for anything.

I am watching Of Freaks and Men by Balabonov. I do not care for it. Earlier I watched A Run For Your Money. That I enjoyed. Ealing for the win.

I've suffered from insomnia my whole life, but after I got laid off, I totally embraced the 26 hour day. Up for 18 hours, sleep for 8 hours. I just cycle through a full day over a couple weeks, just waking up ~2 hrs later every day. First time a sleep schedule has ever felt right to me.
Wishful thinking, perhaps; but that is just another possible definition of the featherless biped.

    SLEEP

They say death is called sleeping without ever waking up. If that's true, book me a ticket with the Grim Reaper right now. I love sleeping. When I wake up in the morning, all I look forward to in the day, is waiting until nighttime so I can go to sleep again. Since I started my new job, I've been waking up at 4am every weekday now, so my sleep schedule is all ruined. Though this makes me appreciate sleeping even more. Sleeping in is such a treat. It shouldn't be abused. Never oversleep or undersleep. Set a time to wake up (say 10am), and you'll feel so refreshed and ready to go. I have never hit the snooze button once in my life. Waking up early and realizing you still have a few hours to go before your regular wake-up call is the single greatest feeling ever. It makes you feel like royalty.

    Indeed.

Sleep is for champions. The only reason you non-sleep lovers have too much to do to bother sleeping is because you're most likely half-awake with your mind and body operating at less than peak conditions. Plus, where else can you be a viking?

Do you mean I dream of being a viking, or that I'm good at sleeping, like a viking is good at....viking?

Sleep is sonething that I'd like to have, but I just don't have the time. With a 7.30am to 9pm schedule. I don't have time for sleep, if I'm to have a life as well.

I'm Scandinavian, I'be watched the Simpsons episode, and I'm a bit drunk. Still, I don't understand what you just wrote.

Oh, shit. Was that thread on the other site? I can't find it. That thread was the best.
