We all know it should be Channing Tatum.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Suddenly, I gladly would have jumped on the Fillion bandwagon. Too bad although I doubt Max Payne was Wahlberg's fault or Hitman Olyphant's. Apart from signing on of course.

    And:

De Niro being my father, Pesci being my uncle

So I know I'm being a nitpick here, but can we please fix the spelling of the thread title?

I'm getting a little OCD about it.

As if Wahlberg wasn't bad enough:

Wahlberg confirms to MTV that he'll play Nathan Drake, saying “David [O. Russell] is one of the best writer/directors I’ve ever worked with. The idea that he has [for Uncharted] is just insane. So hopefully we’ll be making that movie this summer.”

What's doubly surprising is his potential co-stars - Scorsese's favourite duo Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. Wahlberg says “That’s who he wants to write the parts for. I talked to Pesci about it and I know David’s people have talked to [Robert De Niro]...The idea of it is so off the charts: De Niro being my father, Pesci being my uncle. It’s not going to be the watered-down version, that’s for sure."

This is very surprising as the Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider-esque adventures have made no mention of Drake's family. In fact Russell's "idea" will be to set part of the film against the backdrop of the world of New York antiques, something that quite frankly sounds like bearing little relation to the game series.

David O Russell on the movie. Family dynamic is nothing new. National Treasure had it, Indiana Jones IV bollocksed it up. But maybe, just maybe, the pairing of Pesci and De Niro will be pay dividends. I think these guys can be funny together.

    huh?

Just what was that puzzling David O'Russell quote, referencing a "family dynamic" in the Uncharted movie, all about, I asked Uncharted 3 game director Justin Richmond at a recent press event. He laughed. "First of all, all that stuff was denied by David O. Russell," Richmond said. "He actually called us up and was like, 'I don't know what these guys are talking about.'" And Mark Wahlberg isn't anywhere near to being confirmed to play Nathan Drake either -- it's just Hollywood scuttlebutt, apparently. Still, I dutifully told Richmond that the Joystiq Biomass had chosen, and Nathan Fillion has our vote. Message received, Richmond responded.

When you click on the movie title, it still says Mark Wahlberg. Perhaps this is called denial Duke. Just accept the goddamn facts!

    David O. Russell is out.

    Creative Differences...

Script is also going to be rewritten. Russell has many other projects he's looking to do, so all is well there.
