Can't find a great shot, but it's the montage sequence where the American troops take the village that the Japanese occupy, as they've herded the Japanese out and those troops are mourning their dead

6. Andrei Rublev
Not this shot but I like the shot/scene before Rublev cradles the bellmaker near the end of the film, after the bell has rung.

15. Dawn of the Dead (1978)
Love this film, and this shot, taken on its own, is pretty great. The one thing that bugs me, though, is that you can very clearly see the rope on which the camera is moving cutting through the center of the sky at the top of the shot. I can't really see it here, but it's definitely in the film and it definitely takes me out of the moment. My favorite shot is one from the first vignette where the camera roams around at ground level, then slowly raises above the tops of the village huts. Beautiful film.Quoting dreamdead (view post)
16. Synecdoche, New York
The first time we see the full scope of Caden's production, with the camera panning through all the extras and Caden telling people "you're not just filming the scene, you're in it. You're actors playing actors."
(Not an image of the actual scene, but a representation of it.)
