I have also added an 'S' button on the post control panel that operates the spoiler tags.

Everyone does realize they can create a custom user title in their User CP screen, right? I remember a couple people requesting that, so I made it so everyone could make their own title.

How does Rep Power and Rep Points work? At first, I assumed it was another name for post count.

Rep is reputation. As a fellow rep n00b, I'll fill you in on how I believe it works.

Once you reach 50 posts, you get a rep power of one. You can click on the scale next to each user's information on each post to either assign positive or negative rep points to that user, equal to your rep power (indicated by your approval or disapproval). Your rep power increases based on... posts, right, guys?

For example, were this system in place on the old site, you would have gotten some rep from me for saying Takahata is greater than Miyazaki.

You can view the rep you've received on your user control panel. (You started at 5; looks like someone gave you some for something.)

Your rep power goes up based on posts, the number of rep points you receive from others and how long you have been here.

It is: 1 point for every 400 posts, 1 point for ever 200 rep points and 1 point every 365 days.

As people's rep points get higher, I may space those out more.

Thanks for the clarification. Though it leaves me curious: how'd KF manage a second rep power point? He hasn't quit eachieved 400 posts. Have these rules been implemented post fact?

I mean, it doesn't really matter to me. I'm just curious.

As am I. Also, why didn't fasozupow start at 10 rep points? I thought that's where we all started. I can't imagine he got blasted with negative rep off the bat. Heck, I've only given out negative rep once that I can remember, and it was to Yaux.

The problem is the change in minimum rep points when joining isn't retroactive, so all those who joined after I reduced it to 5 get five while everyone else has ten (I was toying with it, figuring everyone would revert to the end result, not get it as they join).

And, if you'll look at KF's rep power, he only has one.

To be frank, you're the reason I moved it up. I didn't want people getting another power point every week. After one year everyone's points will be increasing like wildfire.

I promise, my posting will slow down some in the near future. Work has been slow and the new site has me posting more than usual. I'm really not this big of a loser. Am I?

Thanks. I didn't see any method to the madness and never would've figured all of that out.

I've figured out a way to quickly go through each thread, which makes it more convenient for me to post. I just use that New Posts area, and create tabs for each thread I like. I don't even click on the subjects now.

I haven't given out Negative Rep... yet.

I only got negative rep once, from a silenter_ethan, if I remember correctly, and I was sad.

    Negative reppers are buttheads.

I think that silenter_ethan is the only person I've ever given negative rep.

I know I wasn't the only person to hand it out to Yaux. His squares were red before he was banned.

Heh, I remember him but I forgot what his posts were about.

silent ethan was sort of annoying, but also sort of harmless.

If the netural reppers had at least 1 rep point to give out I'd have more rep than I do now. I've never received negative rep nor given out negative rep. I don't see the point unless someone makes a post that is so horrible, idiotic, or offensive. And those posts usually get deleted anyways by the mods.

I'd assume there's not a way to track rep that we've given, is there?

I just want to say, I love how the "edit your post" thing is set up. Much easier than any other site I've been on.
