When was the last time a new action hero/heroine sprung a franchise that was not based on an existing property? You probably have to go back to The Matrix.

Globe-trotting action-adventure films are scarce in Hollywood right now, so of course Disney is going to keep Indy going as long as the interest is there.
You only have to go as far as Bryan Mills.

I'm not sure I've ever come across anyone with these rankings and therefore I can't help but respect it.
The third movie is by far the worst in the series. Who could even argue?

The first one is fatally boring, the second one is a flashy Heath Ledger performance surrounded by shitty action scenes and weird narrative pacing (the story of Two Face is a complete mess), while the third, finally, is a little bit less controlled, a little bit more human, and a lot more fun. Bear in mind though I would rate the third one 65/100, so it’s not like it’s a personal favorite or anything.

I thought he was referring to Lord of the Rings?

PS - Bane is an awesome villain, and I was the most skeptical about him. I did not want Bane. I was wrong.

My biggest irritation with the third one is Batman takes 8 years off. Batman would never take 8 years off. Everything else I can sort.

Batman would also not be the one to put Justice League together. He works best alone.

Seeing as every single film in this series has been worse than the one that preceded it, I say they just give it up.

Even weirder is that Sean Connery would technically have been 12 years old when he had Indiana.

The story has to factor in his age, otherwise I don't see it working.

So, factoring in Harrison's age... this would take place around 1969 or the early 70's.
