    Deadpool Franchise Discussion

I'm not familiar with this guy at all. I don't know what he stands for or who he fights. But I do know a little about Cable, which Reynolds is most interested in fighting in the upcoming spin off.

“I wish they would do a ‘Cable’ movie first, just to explain the guy,” Reynolds said. “And then they could do a ‘Deadpool vs. Cable’ kind of thing.”

Reynolds’ desire might be closer to reality than you’d think. When Marvel recently announced their initiative to hire writing staffs for feature films, “Cable” was name-dropped as one property that the company plans to develop. Perhaps an on-screen Deadpool/Cable confrontation isn’t that far away!
Would they ever put Wolverine back in this movie too?

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I don't know much about the X-Men outside of the characters from the films. But is Deadpool not a bad guy? I get the impression that he isn't, though he is one in the Wolverine movie. Right?

Anti-hero. He's a mercenary. You guys want me to start posting some funny Deadpool scans?

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

I'd love to see some. So he's equal to a Venom or Punisher?

I really don't see a "Cable" movie being good.

It's such a convoluted mess of a story. He'd need his own series of movies just to plot it all out enough for it to make sense to the audience.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

If you include alternate realities, alternate versions of existing characters, differing futures based on past events...

    It's a mess.

Those pages are righteous proof that Deadpool was perfectly cast, sans third act.

Blech. No thank you. I cannot imagine being able to tolerate that for 90 minutes. Never been much of a fan of Deadpool anyway, though.

A Cable movie would be hilarious.

For instance - he forgets which pouch he put his keys in, and then comically checks every one for like 5 minutes in a Family-Guy-Like extended sequence of awkwardness. Then he could go to the gym and work on his 28-pack, and the other lifters could comment on how he has muscles that no other human being has. And finally he'd constantly be falling over because his feet and ankles are far too small to support his weight.

    That's a super hero film I'd see.

Or Cable trying to take a plane flight, and it taking him 4 hours to get through security, because 1) his guns are too large to get through the scanner, and, of course, the pouches. By the time he does get through, his plane has already departed and is disembarking at its destination.

Ha! Today was the first time I've actually watched the demo. Pretty darn good. And at least with the demo reel, I loved the look.

    "Probably."
