Spookies is like someone made an Italian horror movie but forgot what makes so many of them good or memorable.

Love and Monsters was cute fun. Some clever moments and cool monsters.

A little too YA for me to love LOVE it. And it kind of betrays its own message with its ending.

    But it was pretty good.

We started our countdown to Halloween on September 1st, currently revisiting old favorites we haven't watched in a long time.

    Sep 1 - Bubba Ho-Tep
Sep 2 - The House of the Devil
    Sep 3 - The Descent

Not sure what we will watch tonight, but I'll update!

I still need to see The Descent. The rest rock. I've been watching horror movies since July for my Horrorfest. I'm on #26: Hellmaster.

If you’re doing your annual horror marathon, you best put The Descent on it.

I'll get to it eventually. Its not on any streaming services currently so I guess I'll have to track down a copy.

I fell asleep about 30 minutes into The Haunting, so we are going to finish it tonight. Then our plan for the next viewing is [REC].

    It's worth the effort.

Meg, Bubba Ho-Tep! I haven't seen it since it came out. Desperately in need of a rewatch.

It's so good. Always catches me off guard with how emotional it is at the end.

If you haven't seen The Descent make sure you watch it with the original British ending. The American release cuts off a 2-minute bit at the end which totally changes it.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Original ending is far superior and the sequel is a B movie at BEST.

Haha yes I know about The Descent 2 and that they changed the ending a bit to the first one.

REC is terrifying and great although my only big issue that keeps me from giving it a 10 is that [
    ]

Definitely on my list of horror movies to scare the crap out of me.

REC is interesting in that both the original and remake are good with a couple separate merits...but both good overall.
