Fulci is more my personal favorite out of the main trio of famous Italian horror directors since I love gore and zombies these days. Bava and Argento are pretty awesome-I think it was Buffosaurus or Raiders who got me into Bava. Or someone else from the Axis.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Watched the original Pet Sematary for the first time last night.

    It's pretty awful.

Sad that Gwynne is a supporting character, but carries the whole movie on his back.

Also sad that a horror film about things coming back from the dead gets its only decent scare from a flashback to a sick girl.

Oh man you guys bum me out.

I have a huge soft spot for that movie because of Fred Gwynne.

I remember the trailer on TV so fucking clearly. Somebody says to him, "Anyone ever bury a person out there?" and Gwynne responds, "No! But who ever would?"

There was something so over the top and perfect about his delivery that as a kid I'd occasionally and for no reason say that line out loud doing my best impression of him.

It's entirely possible I still do this as an adult, but I'd probably never admit it.

Gwynne does carry the movie, though, so I can see why you'd remember that fondly.

There's one part where Gwynne invites the dad to have a beer with him on his porch.

I told Jen my review of the movie should have just been "I'd totally have a beer with Fred Gwynne on his porch."

Fred is great. I hate the whole idea of the movie. And as a parent now, with boys that age, and surrounded by roads on all four sides of my house, I cannot deal with that movie anymore.

That part is fantastic. And yes Gwynne is great in Pet Sematary. I love the book although both it and the movies overuse the dead invalid sister for scares way too much.

Yes it is. That's how you do a remake.

I don’t think I’ve watched a Thai horror since Shutter.

Firing up the Pool right now.
