    1989 - 2009 Twenty Years Ago...

The Beastie Boy's Paul's Boutique and De La Soul's 3 Feet High and Rising were released...

    Wow.

Talk about life and genre changing albums.

It's incredible to think that I've been listening to these albums for 20 years.

Also - The Stone Roses s/t.

1989 is one of my favorite years for music.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

it seems for the last couple of eras that the last year in a decade has always been incredibly fruitful.

69: monster movie, contact, led zeppelin I, in the court of the crimson king, abbey road
79: unknown pleasures, london calling, entertainment!, metal box, fear of music, this heat
89: (aforementioned), "i", disintegration, ecstasy and wine, doolittle
99: i see a darkness, vision creation newsun, the soft bulletin, slow riot for new zero kanada ep, 69 love songs,

and so far this year is going fairly handsomely
THERE IS A FUTURE IN HISTORY

If It Takes a Nations of Millions.... had come out in '89 rather than '88, I could argue that '89 was the most important year of hip hop to date.

And good call with Disintegration, key.

I'm not a huge Galaxy 500 fan. I like them, but I prefer Luna.
