    The Commercials Thread

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it'd be nice to have a thread dedicated to the collective bitching/praising/discussion of commercials rather than lumping them in with all the other YouTube videos.

I will start with a challenge. Find me a commercial more awful than this. What I really don't understand is why that guy found it necessary to the money to get 2+ minutes of air time for that. I wish the uploader didn't bother adding subtitled comments - this thing speaks for itself.

Runner up: Worst McDonald's ad ever

    And some more:

    the frighteningly racist
Hilarious racism unnecessarily tacked on at the end
    Awesome Roy Andersson commercials
Domestic abuse is NOT a laughing matter (except for here)
Probably my favorite PSA ever (although this and this aren't too far behind)

And lest we forget the two most classic PSA's: Crying Indian and VD is for everyone!

So get to finding great/awful old commercials and, of course, the newer ones played so often they made you want to smash your tv screen (apologies for bringing up bad memories to anyone who watched football in September or October ).

And I'll end this post by giving you The Greatest Commercial of All-Time.

That Flea Market commercial is awesome.

This is my favorite current commercial.

You win. Before I even clicked on the thread, I wondered if someone had already posted "It's just like a mini-mall!" While it's undeniably awful, it's also quite catchy.

    Here's a non-subtitled version here.

The three types of suits and starfish were pretty funny, though.

That Andersson retirement commercial is some kind of masterpiece.

These Wendy's 3conomics commercials, with the disaffected Short Round for the 21st Century, are too short to change the channel on yet just long enough to piss me off. And Wendy's was already on thin ice with the condescending animated Wendy in the first place. Worst commercials on tv right now.

I remember banner ads that appeared on all over the web for about 6 hours, until someone whispered into the ear of an ad exec just what is meant by the phrase "I'd Hit It".

    Favorite Super Bowl commercials?

I really liked the cars.com and Swedish Conan ads.

I never thought I'd see a good Cash4Gold.com commercial, let alone one that made me laugh hysterically.

Most of the commercials either sucked or were mediocre. There were some really good ones, though.

That guy couldn't be more wrong. I see him almost every year, and he's amazing.

to be fair, we saw him at a festival last summer in pittsburgh and he was pretty bad. i see him every year and love him as well, we just caught a bad show. but my friend won't let me hear the end of it. "he sounded like yoda!"
