is this about the glenn beck thing?Quoting number8 (view post)
Yeah, that was some very impressive shit.
Movie Theater DiaryQuoting Donald Glover
I watched that clip and laughed pretty hard, but the truth is I've never seen two minutes of Glenn Beck together. I know him by reputation alone, and I know that my family hates him passionately.
So, I asked about him at dinner yesterday, and my sister and my dad were trying to describe him. My dad kept saying he was "goofy", like deliberately funny, while my impression is that he took himself seriously.
They finally said that it was as if someone with the intelligence level and gravity of Michael Scott was a paranoid right-wing Republican and somehow got a television show. Does that sound about right? Don't make me actually google clips of the real Glenn Beck; my Monday is starting out rough enough already.
...and the milk's in me.
Let me put it this way. I didn't really laugh at the Stewart spoof (except for the "Organ-ize" bit) because it was so close to the reality of Glenn Beck that I got pretty angry watching it.
Movie Theater DiaryQuoting Donald Glover
This is what happened for me. Only I didn't get angry, because I don't care about Glenn Beck. I just recognized what an uncanny impersonation it was (and I've literally only seen two videos of Glenn Beck) and was in awe, to a certain degree. I kept trying to imagine how Glenn Beck would feel watching it.Quoting number8 (view post)
You and I may not care about Glenn Beck, but thousands and thousands of Americans do. That is why I'm angry.

People own Ann Coulter books. That's their loss. Nothing I can do about that. I don't trouble myself with the misguided delusions of others. I'd never sleep. I don't pay attention to them, or the people who like them, so they don't trouble my world.Quoting number8 (view post)
I can't really do that, especially if they're actively affecting important decisions and painting a public representation.
Movie Theater DiaryQuoting Donald Glover
The way I look at it, anyone who loves Glenn Beck and Ann Coulter is too far gone to worry about anymore.Quoting number8 (view post)
Kirstie Alley is tired of all of Conan's fat jokes
Conan really needs to address this on his show.
Oh he did, and it was quite marvelous.Quoting angrycinephile (view post)

Great joke by Jimmy Fallon.
"In an interview, Sarah Palin called President Obama's policies 'back-asswards.' In response, Obama said that Palin is ucking funqualified."

Jimmy Fallon's show has sneakily become pretty watchable

Wolf boy from Twilight was on Conan Monday night and he did a grape catching in mouth thing which was phenomenal.
They also showed a serious scene from the movie and the crowd started laughing.Quoting Thirdmango (view post)
a friend sent me that. i said 'when did jimmy fallon become funny?'Quoting Adam (view post)
I guess I already know the answer to this question, but is last night's Saturday Night Live at all worth going back and watching?
the only things i found funny was the gossip girl parody (as an avid watcher of gg) and the underground music festival skit, which was an excellent parody of the gathering of the juggalos infomercial if you're familiar. and of course the shy ronnie digital short with rihannaQuoting Adam (view post)
the astronaut skit was kind of funny too i guess
Hmm, just watched most of it. Easily the best episode of a very lame season
i think i preferred jgl's episode
he was certainly the best host this season so far
I haven't seen the rest of the episode but I love this:Quoting Acapelli (view post)
