Totally digging on Chris Isaak at the moment, thx to that sexy video. My one regret is that I am not driving down the desert on a warm summer dusk.

Spoon's first album, Telephono, is great driving music. Give that a go.

Putting James Blackshaw into Pandora and having it create a playlist of similar artists is pretty much the most tranquil thing that's happened to me all week.

There are only a couple of albums that just totally resonate in my gut as soundly as Funeral does. It's a deep-down, maybe orgasmic, experience that I can't do justice in words, but I'm just saying it's probably better than Neon Bible
Don't get me wrong: Funeral is one of my favorite CDs that I've listened to this year. But I think Neon Bible just simply digs down further and is more richer.

He's always been one of my favorite artists. Heart-Shaped World gets constant play from me. Has since high school.

You know, I like music videos. I really do. But after falling behind early in voting, I probably won't participate in the Battle of the Music Videos. Blame it on the fact that at times my laptop fails to buffer YouTube fast enough, I guess.

The Decemberists - The Hazards of Love

After 10 songs I want to throw this disc out the car window and run over it.

Music is OK, but the concept/narrative/lyrics sound as amateurish as "The Night Man" from Always Sunny. That's seriously what it reminds me of.

    Want my money back.

My dad does this all the time. He has long road trips for work, and he'll buy a CD along the way, and if he doesn't like it he just rolls down his window and sends it sailing. It's hilarious to see in person, because he's not even mad, and gives absolutely no warning. He'll just hit eject, take the CD out, roll down his window and chuck it out, then roll the window back up and put in a different disc.

I thought Dylan and that other kid (Lennon?) were more important.

Any of you guys ever hear of Julian Casablancas?

Damn, can this kid whip out a great little pop song.

    eg. 11th Dimension.

EDIT: Oh! He's in The Strokes! Well, learn something new every day!

Why thank you good sir. Sometimes I aim to please. And sometimes not at all! That requires effort too

I really like The Strokes. Its about damn time I listened to one of their albums. Oh and after hearing both of their albums, The Raconteurs are kind of awesome. While not a great band, they have this sort of touch and sound that I highly enjoy. Maybe its also because Jack White rules.

So far, Wilco's 2009 self titled effort is quite solid, and way too damn short. I'll have to give it another listen, but so far I feel like they could have fleshed out the whole thing a bit more.

Arcade Fire's Neon Bible is fantastic, and better than Funeral.
I agree. It's totally cathartic in a way that makes Funeral seem like an abstraction.
‎The severed arm perfectly acquitted itself, because of the simplicity of its wishes and its total lack of doubt.
