Watching this show now. A few episodes into season 2. Loving it. Baldwin is the best. Could do without Krakowski. And the writers are not very funny. But Fey, Kenneth, Tracy, and Baldwin more than make up for it.

She's my least favorite character, as well.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

Krakowski is the hardest to write for because it seems like Arrested Development took care of that character already.

Portia DeRossi > Jane Krakowski easily

I like Krakowski a lot. I don't really like the way they write her character though.

With that, I'll still say that I laugh at her character a lot.

    "Me want food!"

    That was pretty funny.

I wish they'd give Pete something to do now they've given his role in the show to Alec Baldwin. Dude's got great comic timing.

Yeah, this is the problem of having a popular studio head character. They start behaving less like a studio head and more like a hang-around.

It was the same in Studio 60 with Steven Weber and Amanda Peet's characters, though to a lesser extent. Don't they have other shows to look after?

One of the funniest scenes on the entire show is between these two.

I've just started watching this again, about halfway through the first season. It's pretty quality stuff. They occasionally stretch the reality of the show to questionable levels. I'm not nearly as amused by Rachel Dratch as the show is.

I wouldn't count on much reality going forward. It's stretched pretty thin most of the time.

It's possible that the show wasn't so amused with her either, since she disappears from later episodes.
Wishful thinking, perhaps; but that is just another possible definition of the featherless biped.

I have watched the unaired pilot last night, and Dratch was supposed to be Jenna... talk about disastrous.

I'm midway through the second season. This is quality stuff. Really wish there was more for Scott Adsit and most of the writer characters (and even Krakowski) to do, as the second season seems to be functioning less like an ensemble show than the first.

Sometimes stories and plot threads don't pay off very well (see Seinfeld episode), but moment-to-moment the cast carries occasionally underwhelming writing. More often, though, the writing is good to excellent.

    Amusing still.

Got my roommate to watch the show. He's loving it as I rewatch some episodes. Anytime there's a special guest that's a major focus, (Schwimmer, Seinfeld) it's usually an okay show.

Jane Krakowski's character has lost lots of screentime since the first season.

Was so excited for the premiere of this season...

Only to find out it's actually next month.

Chevy Chase was on TV, but he's not someone that I'd keep on watching out of curiosity.

So I worked on my farm on facebook.

I barrelled through the first three seasons so I could start watching in time for the season 4 premiere. It's become my favorite comedy easily.

Poor 30 Rock. It still thinks Kenneth is funny.

He is. As long as they keep him in that small role, it's just fine.

Nah. His character is grating and way too over-the-top, and most of the jokes surrounding his upbringing and cultural perspective fall flatter than a slice of ham in a Funcooker.
