I listen to music pretty infrequently lately but i had an itunes card i hadn't used so i picked these two up today. I had never even heard of "Does It Offend You, Yeah" I found them while searching itunes "Next Big Thing $5.99 and $6.99". Pretty awesome album with great song titles (Battle Royale, Dawn of the Dead, Attack of the 60 Ft. Lesbian Octopus).

I've bought quite a few more albums recently:

All of them bought used except for the Police album, which I got for only $6.00 still encased in plastic at the same half priced store. I haven't bought an album from Best Buy or Target in some time.

Latest in probably my favorite remix series of all time. Probably the best one yet too, due in no small part to the fact that the songs strike a better balance between truth to the source material and modern electronic trickery.

Picked up Tom Waits' Swordfishtrombones and Rain Dogs for $6 each the other day. They were already among my favourite albums, so I figured I should contribute a little.
Wishful thinking, perhaps; but that is just another possible definition of the featherless biped.

Three Kiwi albums, now that I'm home:

    Tall Dwarfs - Weeville
    Tall Dwarfs - Fork Songs
    Chris Knox - Seizure

Tall Dwarfs are precursors to the Pavement sound, but way, way, way awesomer.

Today I bought a used copy of Sonic Nurse by Sonic Youth and Isn't Anything by My Bloody Valentine, both in like-new condition, at FYE. I can't believe that place actually charges $20 for some CDs.

And I'm waiting to receive these two in the mail next week: Chelsea Girl and The Marble Index by Nico. I would have bought CG six years ago if I knew that Nico wasn't a member of the Velvet Underground (paying attention to the end credits of The Royal Tenenbaums would have helped). Why I took this long to buy the damn album I don't know.

Great choices. That particular Soundbombing mix is really good, especially Pharoahe Monch's WW3.

    Rising Down.
Will be up there in my favorite albums of the year, a great sequel to Game Theory.
