edit: i just picked up some free agents and am overloaded on SF's.Quoting Ivan Drago (view post)
Peja Stojakovic had 10 threes tonight, and Luke Walton keeps leaving him wide open.
Chris Paul also had a Hornets' record 21 assists tonight, with only two turnovers.
David West hit two threes.
If the Hornets stay healthy, I think they are a playoff team.

Are you saying that you have too many SFs and don't want Kirelinko? Or that you can trade a couple of your SFs to me for Kirelinko? And I can give you another player that isn't a small forward, if you want. I'm wanting to trade Brevin Knight (PG, Clippers) as well.Quoting Mr. Valentine (view post)

Cripe. I forgot to change my lineup last night and had Dwight Howard on the bench.
*slaps self*
I already went through and did the whole week. I'm an idiot.
Steve Nash is a dirty SOB. Check out what he did to Raymond Felton in this video:
http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia/nba/...044_phxcha.asx
Check out what happens after 1:08. Absolutely deliberate, and deserves a suspension. Of course, no one's gonna touch the NBA's Golden Boy.
Thankfully, X-rays on Felton's knee were negative, and the MRI suggests he'll be OK.

That did look pretty bad, especially since he put his hand up immediately after Felton hit the floor. Plus, I have Felton on my fantasy team, so Nash definitely deserves a suspension for endangering my season.
I have Nash on one of my fantasy teams, and I'm still piping mad.
Kobe would already be suspended for three games.

Hm. He obviously meant to trip him, but intentional tripping happens a lot. I don't think he meant to seriously hurt him. It doesn't seem quite as malicious as dropping a forearm across someone's face or sliding under someone while they're shooting.
Yeah, or kneeing somebody in the balls. *cough*Quoting DavidSeven (view post)
The severed arm perfectly acquitted itself, because of the simplicity of its wishes and its total lack of doubt.
The Celts are really taking it to the Nuggs. The more I see them play, the more I think they look like a championship caliber team. People always talk about the big 3, but they have a lot more talent than meets the eye. In fact, they had so much young talent before the trade that they probably would have been good the next few years anyway by building a team around Al Jeff (who is a stud, btw).
Even after the trade, they still have some impressive young players left, like Rondo and Allen. Kendrick Perkins is a terrific role player, especially now that he really isn't needed to score at all. House & Posey are good veteran bench players. The only thing this team really lacks is a true point guard, but they might not need one.
Good God! Celtics up by 40!

And the Hawks beat the Suns. They may be a team to look out for this year. In the weak East, they have a shot at the playoffs.

You know, when the Big 3 of the Celtics appeared on the cover of SI I thought they were being jinxed and they wouldn't mesh well. Then I noted their play in the pre-season and I started to believe. After their first two games I immediately stated (if not here than elsewhere) that they were going to to the Finals. Everyone in the Eastern Conference should be scared of that team. And some Western Teams should be worried as well.Quoting DSNT (view post)
God the Suns suck right now. We need Stodmaire back. But its not just that. I think trading Kurt Thomas was a mistake.

The Hawks could be a sleeper, but I wouldn't read too much into them beating the Suns without Amare.
Combined line of the big 3 tonight:
28-41 shooting, 21 rb, 18 assists, 11 steals, 1 block, 71 points.
How can you beat that?
The Suns essentially switched Kurt Thomas with Brian Skinner because their owner wanted to avoid the luxury tax. It certainly wasn't done as a way to improve the team.Quoting MadMan (view post)

The master of public relations, David Stern, is at it again. Way to kick us while we're down, buddy.
Stern criticizes city, state governments in Sonics dealings
Associated Press
PHOENIX -- NBA commissioner David Stern warned Thursday that if the SuperSonics leave Seattle he sees no way the league would ever return to the city.
It looks like Lawrence Frank has finally seen the light, at least for one game. Magloire has played 28 minutes and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Collins has played 12 minutes with no rebounds.

If Golden State and Dallas keep having games like this it could become a good rivalry.
