This either means that trade talks are happening, or they aren't happening.

I was going to post this link, but couldn't in good conscience start the NBA thread. I was hoping you'd show up before someone else did the honors.

Deng, Gordon, and Iguodala also did not get contract extensions. Bad deal.

This draft is a minor disaster. Luckily I've escaped fairly unscathed.

Seeing Ronny Turiaf in Warriors garb makes me a little sad.

I don't know anything about how Fantasy Basketball works, but I'm thinking that my team really, really sucks. Maybe next year I'll read the rules before drafting.

I actually think your team is pretty good, just not having Williams available is hurting you. And with Durant and Beasley improving, you can do some damage.

David Lee vs. Golden State tonight: 37 points, 21 rebounds.

I was thisclose to cutting him this week.

New York set a team record by scoring 82 points in the first half. Chris Duhon set a team record by dishing 22 assists. Also, Nate Robinson should be back by Tuesday, while Jared Jeffries should be back by the end of the week. I expect that Jeffries may take Anthony Roberson's spot in D'Antoni's 8-man rotation.

Stephen Jackson sat out last night's game with a sprained left wrist. Marco Belinelli replaced him in the starting lineup, but he only played 7 minutes. No word on how long Jackson will be out.

Michael Redd returned last night. He scored 20 points in 35 minutes off the bench. He should be in the starting lineup by their next game. Scott Skiles actually started both of his point guards (Luke Ridnour and Ramon Sessions) instead of Charlie Bell at shooting guard. I expect Bell to miss out on playing time with Redd's return, instead of Sessions. How long is it going to take for Sessions to supplant Ridnour n the starting lineup? I don't understand that decision.

Josh Howard may miss the Mavericks' upcoming seven-game home stand with his injured left ankle. No specific timetable has been set for his return, but Rick Carlisle is hopeful he'll be back soon. They need him.

Jerry Stackhouse received electric shock treatment on is injured right heel. Sounds pleasant. He is also out indefinitely.

Marcus Camby and Zach Randolph played well together last night. Chris Kaman is likely going to be out for a week, so the Clippers will have a good chance to see how they will mesh. I wonder is Camby will suddenly go down with an injury once Kaman is back. I look for conspiracy theories everywhere. I just find it funny when players who were "injured" (e.g. Al Harrington) were suddenly traded.

Tracy McGrady missed the Rockets' last game and will miss at least their next game on Monday. Luther Head started in his place, and had a big game. Interesting how he has been behind Brent Barry in the rotation all season long, and now started with McGrady out.

    Anaheim Kings?

Three teams in the Southland? I'm not sure that's wise. The Lakers are so big, it would be hard for yet another team to eke out an existence. Then again, the OC drive to downtown LA is miserable, so maybe they'll build a fan base out of convenience like the Ducks have.

I'm fairly certain that it will happen. Kevin Johnson (mayor of Sacramento) has been talking about it like it's a foregone conclusion. The franchise would change their name back to the Royals.

I would've loved to be a fly on the wall in the Cavs locker room before and after that game. I imagine some there were some choice quotes going around there.

Great Lakers/Mavs game tonight. The Lakers win by 28, 5 ejections, and one crazy person trying to rush the floor.

I can't believe the tailspin San Antonio has been in. They've now lost 6 in a row, they had only lost 13 prior to this. The Spurs/Lakers match up on April 12 looks to be a pretty big game at this point.

To add to this, the Lakers actually control their own destiny, even being a game and a half behind. If they win out, they will be the one seed regardless of what the Spurs do.

I'm still thinking it will be Lakers-Thunder for the Western Conference Finals. The Mavs have an outside chance, but the Spurs are being done in by injuries.
