Jason Kidd got himself fined $50,000 for intentionally spilling his drink to buy some time when his team had no time outs.

More injuries. Paul Pierce out 2-4 weeks with a broken hand. Jordan Farmar out 4 weeks with a torn left hamstring. Anthony Davis out indefinitely with a fractured hand. J.J. Redick out 6-8 weeks with a fractured hand.

And there's only two teams in the Eastern Conference with a winning record. And LeBron James is shooting 60% from the field.

So Ron Artest and Kenyon Martin allegedly had a locker room fight "over pasta" and Jason Kidd just demoted Lawrence Frank for insubordination. New York basketball, ladies and gentlemen!

Speaking of the Knicks: the Celtics just beat them by 41 points. The same Celtics who were picked by everyone to be the worst team in the league this year.

Kings get: Rudy Gay, Quincy Acy, Aaron Gray
Raptors get: Greivis Vasquez, John Salmons, Chuck Hayes, Patrick Patterson

I usually laugh at the Kings' personnel moves to begin with, but this one takes the cake. What the hell, Sacto.

Masai Ujiri for NBA Executive of the Year, after unloading both Gay and Bargnani's contracts.

Weird trade for the Raptors also. The best player they get out of it Vasquez plays a position they already have filled with a very good player in Lowry.

I would not be surprised if Lowry is the next man out of Toronto.

Still weird though. They are both similar level point guards and then you trade away the one who's been with the team and is familiar with the system. Lowry would be a good fit with the Lakers. They haven't had a good point guard in like 20 years.

He'd instantly be their best point guard since Nick Van Exel.

Meanwhile, the Clippers have signed Stephen Jackson. Captain Jack and Matt Barnes on the same team again! YESSS

More injuries. Zaza Pachulia is out at least four weeks with a fractured right foot. Zaza is leading the league in free throw percentage, 93.3%. Tyreke Evans is out for a week with a left ankle sprain. Also:

Bernard James is 6'10" and Isaiah Thomas is 5'9".

The Wolves have a fantastic starting 5. The problem is they have probably the worst bench in the league. The only good bench player they had (Derrick Williams) they just traded and weren't giving minutes to anyways. When the first two guys off your bench are Dante Cunningham and Alexey Shved you're in trouble. They need Chase Budinger back badly.

The blackout stuff in sports is just bullshit. I have NBA League Pass and because I live in Phoenix area I can't watch the Suns because they're blacked out. I don't have cable/satelite so I can't watch their games anywhere. The two channels that play their games are not available on my HD antenna.

^ That's the exact same reason I don't have League Pass. I wouldn't be able to watch the Lakers, which would be the only reason I'd want it. I don't have cable/satellite, either, and all of their games are now on cable.

Well, Kobe's out for six weeks with a fracture of the lateral tibial plateau of his knee. They were playing better without him, honestly, but that was with Steve Blake available and playing well.

I'm bummed the Suns lost a close one to the Spurs last night. I'm glad I got home in time to watch the end of the highly entertaining Spurs-Warriors game. And I guess I haven't been paying enough attention because I didn't know that the Trail Blazers' record was as good as it is.
