I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

When he's on, it's Damian Lillard spectacle. He certainly isn't consistent like Damian, but it sure has been fun to watch.

    Shame. One of the greats.

Hmm the Suns and Jazz are both good this season but I highly doubt either one wins it all this year.

Does any major sport have smaller rosters than basketball?

I don't think so, even with the roster expansion and two-way players.

Well hell, is there a downside to expanding? (I'm not being sarcastic, I honestly don't know, and I follow basketball the least.) Give more people a chance to make money playing a game. I'm always amazed at the focus on high school level sports when so few people ever make it to pro level.

Oh btw I have to leave for grade school baseball soon. *heavy sigh*

I honestly don't have an issue with that. As it currently is, the league still can have two more franchises without diluting the talent level all that much, specially with how the sport has been getting more popular worldwide (without getting another competing league with as much economic power nor overall talent as the NBA) and how the G League has been for the most part effective at polishing guys who otherwise wouldn't go beyond end of the bench (and wouldn't have the minutes to develop) into effective rotation players and even NBA starters.

Would love the day for NBA to adopt a promotion/relegation style approach like European Football uses. That would ensure teams don't tank for picks.

That would majorly fuck teams from non-LA/NY/Boston/Philly markets though. Even more than nowadays.

The lottery system as always seemed dumb to me.

  22. #7397
As long as the lower teams from the table get the best shot to get the top players at the draft (either by lottery or by record as in the NFL), tanking will be inevitable. And it isn't as if you can get rid of it without royally screwing up the lower teams (specially if they are from a market unappealing to stars). At one point you have to choose between getting rid of tanking or getting rid of any sort of parity.

Would just love the idea of a season like this year where Houston's games matter instead of just finishing the season 1-20.

They should do it for all of the major sports leagues in the US but they won't.

The NBA doesn't have parity, though. Two franchises have most of the titles followed by two others. The Warriors were a mini dynasty for a while.
