Reviews are coming in- "Trippy" seems to be a common adj to describe it.

Consensus seems to be it's not a full fledged MCU movie- script is weak and problems with pacing. But the ideas it generates appears to be enough to satisfy viewers along with the nice visuals.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Script is weak and problems with pacing sounds exactly like a MCU movie.

    Yep.

Nice visuals are a change, though.

I dunno, I always have fun with MCU movies, even the weaker ones. I guess since the movie ticket here costs barely what you guys fay for sandwiches in your part of the world, I don't feel any need to be over-judgmental. It's entertainment.

However, there's one thing about Doctor Strange that bothers me, and it's the introduction of multiple realities into the MCU. I know it's been a staple of the comics for decades, but I don't really want to see alternate timelines any time soon.

Yeah but the main takeaway should be about a 6.5 average score for Top Critics and a 7 overall. Not to mention most of the reviews (or at least the blurbs there, since I try not to read full ones until after I see something) cite formula-related exhaustion.

My hope or high but that doesn't mean they don't also come with some worry!
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

    Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
    Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
    Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
    Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
    What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
    Diva (Beineix, 1981)
    Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
    The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
    Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
    Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)

Also true of most MCU movies until everyone's reviews trickle in. I figure 75%?

The blurbs make it sound boring though. The critics are such a soft touch for these movies.
