Tell me your secret. I think part of it may be eschewing chains.
    You tell me.

    Bracelet, necklace and earrings. Hattrick!

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

Yeah, the leather strip is certainly more manly than a chain. That may be part of it.

Dean in Supernatural wears a small amulet on a leather strip that looks kind of good.

But you take a cool, badass character-- like Spike from Buffy-- put him in a silver chain and he suddenly looks like a used car salesman from Jersey. Why, why, WHY with the necklaces???

Xander wears them sometimes too. But he's more of a doofus.

What kind of self-respecting vampire would wear a chain, anyway?

    Seriously.

Angel wears a claddagh ring, but frankly he's kind of a pansy.

Spike can pull off nail polish and still look great. But I hate those freaking necklaces.

    Logan! Je t'aime.

I associate those necklaces with the 90's, when all the girls wore chokers. I'm not crazy about them.

I had a friend in the army who would be really angry at non-military people who wear dog tags. Like, "My army friends and I would beat them up" angry. I wonder how he feels if the tags are in a different shape, ie BSG.

I would never EVER wear "real" ones. It's disrespectful.

That series of pics was passed around here as "Montenegrin beach", as a lot of guys here really love their gold chains, but that's gotta be photoshopped. I mean, that size in gold... it's insanely heavy. And expensive.

No, it's real. I can tell by the pixels.

Google Translate needs to make an option from "honest" to "polite." So I can type in, "Wow, your husband has gone from being a fairly sweet goofball into someone that makes me want to stab myself in the ear with an ice pick ever time he speaks" and it will come out as.... ?

    I DON'T KNOW. That's why I need Google.

It's been snowing outside for like six hours, and I only found out now... online.
It hasn't snowed like this in years, and for the first time in... ever, it didn't come after rain, AND it's frakkin' COLD outside. The last time snow stuck around for more than a day or two, I was in high school. We'll see.

I'm very frustrated. I scheduled both the plumber and the gas & electric company to come today, and instead of anything getting better, I have a heater that still doesn't work (despite $300 in new parts), the information that I need a new heater ($1,500) and a hole in my drywall where the last owner of the house decided that the gas meter needed to be hidden.

I would copy and paste everything I read and posted on Match-Cut into such a translator whenever I was looking for a fundamentally different experience.

Personally, I go with the Jimmy James from NewsRadio method of translating from English to Japanese then back to English again, in which case you just said:

    Quote Quoting DavidSeven
As for me when me searching the experience which has the difference fundamentally, with anytime I match the reading which is cut off, the copy and the paste do everything which posts in with that kind of translator.
    Infinitely more interesting.

Reads like either an unnecessarily obtuse academic paper or...

I always love me a NewsRadio reference.
