No shit. I just got back from shoveling the stuff. took me an hour and a half to do the front sidewalk. It's deep and compact. Probably burned more calories than when I jog.
Losing is like fertilizer: it stinks for a while, then you get used to it. (Tony, Hibbing)
I slipped my felt packs (boots) on and went to give the birds and critters more food, so they didn't have to dig for the stuff I put out earlier. Took one step outside, and sunk right into the snow. The snow went up and over and down into my boots, and I had neglected to wear socks. It was a touch refreshing. I should've used my tall felt packs that I use for hunting.
I'm sure the critters appreciated it, though.

Yeah, but I had to use my defroster this morning and then I was out later wearing a jacket and had to take it off. Make up your mind weather - mild or warm!Quoting DavidSeven (view post)
Plus, there's the inevitable 20 degree dip to account for at night, so you're going to have to keep that lightweight jacket with you all day. Pain in the ass.Quoting Derek (view post)

I think Colorado's had maybe two or three snowstorms this season. None of which have even led to schools starting later. We're wondering if we're just going to get hammered in Jan-March...
I'm not sure if my immune system can take such drastic swings. Better start up yoga and daily wheatgrass shots!Quoting Scar (view post)
We have winter storm warnings here. Supposed to be a foot of snow by tomorrow evening coupled with 30 mph winds. Not nearly as bad as MN, but still not the most pleasant weather, especially for driving. Still, I'm home from work already (not snowing yet), done with errands, and only have to drive about 10 miles to celebrate my sister's birthday tomorrow. I'm officially ready for the snow! Here's hoping it sticks around until Christmas. It's always more festive with snow.
I promise the spoiler-tagged image below contains no nudity or gore, but it will fundamentally change who you are as a person...

Hilarious and disturbing. Not sure I feel changed in any significant way, other than knowing that it is possible to fake-tan to the point where you just look dirty.

Am I missing something or have you failed to see the hilarious resemblance between the aforementioned ultra-tan guy and this reptilian creature from the masterpiece Super Mario Bros?Quoting Kurosawa Fan (view post)

This journey only took me an hour and a half this morning.
I can only imagine how much shoveling you had to do so that you were able to limbo under the metal gate.

There's snow on the Metrodome field. Wonder where they'll play the game tomorrow?

The sudden wave of cold is incredible... over here, a cold front swooped over most of the Balkans and dropped the temperature by as much as 20 degrees Celsius. A guy actually took fantastic pictures of the front as it advanced over Belgrade:
Does anyone else find this hilarious?
It's a program that helps you create professional-looking animation on your computer.
And its box art features a character that looks like it came from "South Park".
Now, not that I don't love "South Park", but I mean...it'd be like selling a music-production software by playing the opening of "Smoke on the Water" for you.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
I just spent shit tons of money this week getting my car fixed and then tonight I crashed it on the 401. The back bumper is hanging for dear life and the front headlight is completely dislodged. fml.
