I learned something valuable from this video, and it's that I'm still very attracted to Gillian Anderson.

One of the stupidest things I have ever seen. A completely misjudged idea from start to finish. It actually seems like a parody of militant environmentalists.

What the hell were they thinking?

What in God's name? That's one of the most terrible things I've ever seen.

It's supposed to be funny. No surprise it comes from Richard Curtis.

I mentioned casually yesterday that I'm going to pull out the window A/C units and store them for the winter. My roommate looked a little panicked and said, "Oh, I'm still using mine at night."

...It's been fifty degrees at night. What exactly is she using it for?

I have firmly decided not to get her a job at my work. She should work in the hat place.
    ...and the milk's in me.

I'm guessing its the sound of the A/C that puts her to sleep.

"Please disregard everything you've heard about me and the Dark Master. I'm just like you. I want to go to Washington bathed in your approval and the blood of the innocent, so I can really make a difference. Just like you, I want my children to go to good schools, my goats to be born with forked tongues, and for social security to be privatized. Because I know that I'm a wife, a mother, and a seventh-level priestess in my coven... just like you."
 Funniest thing I've read all day. And probably only, um, half true....

I'm all for helping out the planet, whatever, but that 10% cutting carbon emissions commercial was beyond idiotic. Not to mention rather authoritarian. "Join our program, or be destroyed!"

I thought the gore was cool. I'd watch more commercials if they were like that.

Anyone tired of my-roommate-is-nice-but-a-little-bonkers stories may want to skip this one:

She is planning on marrying a guy she's been Facebooking with for months, whom she's never met, who is serving in Iraq and lives in Tennessee. She is going to marry him next summer when he comes home and they will make babies that she is comfortable raising herself while he is deployed. In the meantime, he told her that all she can take from Baltimore to Tennessee is what can fit in the back of his pickup truck, so she's started donating and selling all her stuff.

    ...

Really, truly, she is very nice. If I made a list of my five most trying roommates, she wouldn't even be on it.
    ...and the milk's in me.

NO. I try to keep that as large as possible; I'm America.

    Is he hot, at least?

    'Cause that's all that matters.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

So it's been rainy, windy, cold and generally gross for about 10 days straight.

Today, though, it was sunny, warm, and completely still.

    And the power went out.

Good thing the power went out when the weather was more accomodating.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’
