Also - I don't think, it is. Maybe my, view, is - skewed, but -Quoting BuffaloWilder (view post)
Yeah... I don't think I've seen any evidence of this outside of the same, groups, who are, really, likely only the successors of previous groups - who held such opinions, so -
Heh. Admittedly, the dashes are a bit of an anomaly, Buffalo.:P

You've got a comma problem there, it seems like. In any case, while such things are still taboos, on the whole it seems obvious that we've got a less conservative attitude toward them than, like, thirty or forty years ago. Which is good, I think.

Go to Austin. It's like that almost every day of the week, with the park circuses and whatnot.
I think I should move there.
I find it amusing that I use Barnes and Nobles and the Library for movies and CDs instead of books these days.

I experienced my very first lucid dream last night.
I had been reading up on techniques for recognizing that you are in the dream world. Surprisingly (to me) a lot of them are things you need to do while awake.
But yeah, I was able to identify that I was dreaming. Unfortunately, it only lasted for a few minutes. I then entered into another dream and lost that distinction that things weren't real.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
Yeah, that happens to me sometimes. I'm dreaming and I follow the story and such but I'm always aware that I'm dreaming.
i once realized i was dreaming and decided to fly. it was a bit awkward at first but i made it work. shortly thereafter i forgot i was dreaming, realized i couldn't fly and fell to the ground. most of my lucid dreams only last a very short while before i either wake up or forget that i'm dreaming again.
Six people to dinner on Friday at my new place! I wonder if I would have time to paint and recover my dining room chairs. So much to do!
One of the six is a baby.
And they're all related to me.
And I'm not cooking. I suppose, in fairness, I should point out that I don't really have that much to do.
...and the milk's in me.
I did it, I did it - I shaved my head, completely.

Anyone ever get a better vibe off a couple dates with someone then you did during entire relationships with others? Just recently started dating someone, and can't help but think this relationship will turn into a worthwhile one. Notice I'm not saying marriage or anything, just something that I'll actually like for quite sometime.
Instead of being nervous for dates I get very excited. First time that's happened too.
I would withhold popping the question until at least the 5th date.Quoting Ezee E (view post)

I'm back from a family reunion in Tennessee. I think that long road trips make you acutely aware of your own foibles, particularly road trips with family...

This Saturday I'm going to see a bunch of Baltimore-area performance artists perform a water ballet of Jason and the Argonauts. I figure it will either be awful or glorious. I'm rooting for the latter.
