I just think the world needs more pictures of videos of nature being funny.

People who think nature is a cruel and fickle mistress are gettin' her all wrong.

People who think nature is a cruel and fickle mistress are gettin' her all wrong.
And people who think nature is all cute and cuddly need to read more Capstick, or at the very least watch Planet Earth.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

I believe the appropriate response is, "Whoa is this real life?"
"How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home wine-making course and forgot how to drive?"

Ugh. It's miserable looking outside. It's like The Road. Dark grey, approaching clouds, windy, bonechilling cold, guys in masks stealing gasoline, and around my store it's completely vacant. We're the only store that's still standing after '09s economy downfall.

Well, I'm officially back in school. Start classes Tuesday. I have a full schedule, with all of my classes on Tuesday and Thursday. My schedule looks like this:

    HIST 100 - World Since 1500
    MUS 117 - Musical Experience: Non-Western Music
ENG 202 - Novel as Genre
COMM 105 - Fundamentals of Communication

I tried to go a bit light, taking 100 level gen-eds to get back into the swing of things. The HIST and ENG classes have me reading The Kite Runner, The Poisonwood Bible, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and Things Fall Apart (which I already own). Things Fall Apart is for the HIST course.

I'm equal parts excited and nervous about this.

Badass, KF! I'm starting on Monday myself. Just one class, JPN 1010 (first year, first semester Japanese) while I work full-time, but am starting full-time in the summer and should have my associates degree by April 2011. Will transfer to a University at that point.

I'm excited myself. I wish it was next week already. Gonna go get my texts tomorrow. Paying my tuition in cash is gonna feel pretty good.

And, yeah, I'm going for a Japanese degree. Looking to become a professional member of Asian Cult.
