You're dangerously close to negative rep. It's Beck.
I thought that was Beck, but I wasn't 100% sure.

I know it's Beck, but it looks like David Spade from that angle.

Any post you give will be dangerously close to negative rep for K-Fan. It isn't personal.

Nah. I love Wats. He and I go way back. But saying my av looks like David Spade is grounds for negative rep no matter who posts it.

I think megladon8 could change his avatar to a detailed drawing of an erect penis and it still wouldn't be more phallic than the one he has now.

I am on a distinguished road. I haven't been on a distinguished road since Axis.
Wishful thinking, perhaps; but that is just another possible definition of the featherless biped.

I don't think I want to be the crazy here anymore. Mostly, I guess, it's because I don't really think of myself as crazy and don't want to start. I kind of do like being taken seriously from time to time.

    I feel morose.

I don't think any of us truly find you crazy. Your film taste is just unique. I dig it. This place won't be the same with a watered-down, self-censored iosos.

    Love the new sig.

Can't say I won't call you crazy from time to time though. But, alas, I do respect your opinion, so take that for what it's worth.

It's all good. I just fear that the title will get into people's heads and nothing I say will be taken seriously anymore. I should've listened to Spinal in the poll thread when he said, about not voting for me, "I don't want to humor [iosos]". Smart words. I have been humored and now am being taken for a spin. Alas.

    But still, it's all good!

Hmm, I suspect iosos is responding to my glib comment in the top 99 Japanese. My apologies if it sounded as though I truly believe you've got crazy taste in film. There are few reviewers on these boards that I'd rather read an extended review by precisely because you typically offer articulate and well-thought-out responses.

In other news, my students have largely misread the one quote D or lovejuice put up at the old site:
"When you give food to the poor, they call you a saint. When you ask why the poor have no food, they call you a communist." -- Archbishop Helder Camara

This is disheartening even if it's just an extra credit thingy. They all think the poor are degrading the communists in question, or that communists only care for the wealthy.
    The Boat People - 9
The Power of the Dog - 7.5
The King of Pigs - 7

That sounds about right for a bunch of lunkheaded college students who have been systematically raised to look down upon poor people and accept them as a natural societal component.
