Or they figure a way out to remove the employees altogether. Self Check-out... I've seen some machine recently doing inventory.
My store is too broke to do that yet. But I know it's coming. Oh well...

How are CW’s DC shows as bad as they are and still getting made?

Tried watching some Crisis on Infinite Earths, and I’m embarrassed for all involved.

I watched a bunch back in the day (Flash, Arrow, Supergirl) & they were perfectly frivolous and totally fun. The crossover episodes used to be a semi-event.

Stopped watching last year because they all became too bad for words.

Still in. Flash and supergirl are best. Sure, rest struggle, but all still better than Smallville (which I own all ten seasons of on dvd). Basically I'll take wild attempts at all these characters over no attempts. I feel theyve gotten better with each try (dont believe me, go watch Lois and Clark).

Doing better today. The throbbing subsided. Doc ordered me a script, and hours later pharmacy still hadn't received it. Then the drs office closed. Unbelievable. Luckily mom had leftover meds from couple weeks ago, same stuff. Tide me over till thursday.

If a deaf person had no hands, would they be considered mute?

Considering some deaf people can read lips and verbalize, I'd say...no?

I thought mute meant you had no vocal cords?

    A more serious question:

Do your real life friends have the same taste in movies, books, and shows as you do?

Most yes, some mixed. I am friends with one guy who hates The Last Jedi with the heat of a thousand suns. We argue his wrong dumb points often.

I have a friend who loves Prometheus and Covenant and is prepared to defend them to death. Good thing we both agree on Star Trek.

    Nope. Not the least bit.

I have no one IRL to discuss stuff with.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Anyone read about what happened with Lowe’s up here in Canada?

I ask because I don’t know if it was discussed publicly.

I just know many people who still work(ed) for Lowe’s and man, what a shit show.

What a horrible time of year for it to go down, too.

    Store closings I'm guessing?

Apparently the US headquarters wasn’t happy with how Lowe’s Canada was running.

Came up 2 weeks ago, fired all of corporate and replaced them with their own people.

Then went to stores and halved the number of ASMs (assistant store managers). Fired most, gave the rest the option to step down to Department Manager (which pays less than half).

All department managers now run 2-3 departments.

Also closed most all rural and outlying stores. At least 4 that I’ve heard of in the greater Ottawa area, alone.

    America, fuck yeah!
