Well, that happened. I was just in a car crash with my wife and two of my friends. We hit a wet patch in rain on the freeway, hit the barrier on both sides three times, spun around and stopped sideways across two lanes in full traffic. Amazingly, we didn't roll over and nobody hit us. Let's just say that it was something I never want to experience again.

Yeah, we're fine, amazingly. Well, physically at least. Not even a scratch anywhere. Out of all the possible outcomes from the instant we lost control of the car (our friend Toma was driving, Dina and I were in the back), this is by far the best one. Going to work today might feel a bit weird, though. We're still processing.

Yeah. A huge amount of water just dropped on top of the freeway in a short time period and we didn't manage to slow down quickly enough, so when a guy in front slowed down suddenly, Tom touched the brake, and we completely lost control...

Yeah, it's surreal. We're completely unscathed, and when we got home it was tempting to just get back to normal and move on, but... You just can't. We all slept through the day and skipped work, and Dina had a panic attack and has problems with the thyroid gland because of stress. Boris, our friend who was also in the car, said it best: "Worst case scenario wasn't that we all die... It's that SOME of us died". It's been nerve-racking and inevitable, thinking about all the things that COULD have happened, and we all react differently.

Car accidents are scary.
I drive the speed limit everywhere. People think they are 100% protected in their cars is such a fallacy but you would think from all the accidents on the news it would stop people driving like assholes.

I never tailgate. The other day I was on a freeway that was relatively empty, but this asshole was riding my bumper like it was busy. I saw something ahead in the road. I didn't know what it was. As I approached, I oozed my truck left to ride the line and went around. Realized it was a freaking pallet. The guy behind me hit dead on, exploded wood ten feet in the air. Funny, he followed me by about 15 car lengths after that.
