I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I'm getting really fed up with this rampant e-feminism that seems to put anger and hatred first over any rational search for equality.

I believe in equality of value and respect between the genders. I believe that women should not have to fight for the right to govern their own bodies. I believe women should have equal pay, equal rights and standings in the business and career worlds. I believe that women should not have to ever feel uncomfortable or afraid to go out, or that men are a threat.

This is (a snapshot of) what I see feminism as being about, and what it should be aiming for.

But the agenda of so many seems much more skewed towards anger, hatred towards men.

When I read a story in the lunchroom paper today, I just shook my head. A woman was apparently dressed suspiciously downtown and acting strange in a shopping mall. A police officer (male) questioned her and at one point asked her "are you carrying a weapon?"

Her reply was "I don't know officer, I'm not the one with a penis!"

And this has apparently begun like a "you go girl, tell the man!" rallying cry particularly among young women in local colleges.

How am I wrong in thinking that's absurd?
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

Like, I feel like I should engage with Meg, but I've been sick and I 'm pretty tired.

Casey McCall: Hey, you wanna get involved with this?

    Dan Rydell: I so don't.

Casey McCall: You used to care about these things.

    Dan Rydell: Yes.

Casey McCall: And it wasn't that long ago that you did.

    Dan Rydell: No.

Casey McCall: I mean, it was, like, yesterday.

    Dan Rydell: Right.

Casey McCall: Now, when I say "yesterday", I am not speaking metaphorically. I mean, it was yesterday. What happened to your values?

Dan Rydell: I find that maintaining them is a lot of work. I take a day off every now and then.

Casey McCall: You take a vacation from doing the right thing?

Dan Rydell: Yeah. I don't loot storefronts or anything, but once in a while, when I consider the effort it takes to diligently adhere to a moral compass, I take myself out of the lineup and I rest for the next game.

I hope nothing I said was wrong or bothersome.

When I saw petitions to Kate & William to get an abortion because "the last thing the royal family needs is another man", I can't help but feel that this type of feminism is counterproductive.

Of course that's counterproductive. It's insane. And 99.99999999% of feminists would say that's insane. And that person obviously needs help with some pretty deep issues.

Every movement in the world has a lunatic fringe, and every lunatic fringe in the world is on the internet.

But this lunatic fringe of feminism seems to be coming to define what feminism is and I think that's terrible.

It's giving a bad name to what should be one of the most important social reinventions of the new millennium.

Mainstream media is reporting and giving credence to the 0.00001% who are lunatics (as per my example above with the local paper) and is continuing this horrible idea that feminism is kooky.

That's what my problem is with. I don't want it misconstrued that I am an MRA or some such nonsense - those guys are losers.

I just don't like that the few crazies are giving a bad rep to what is supposed to be a noble cause.

I agree and get what meg is saying. And I think that media outlets such as Fox News are using the crazies to try and discredit the movement.

Yeah, that's pretty smart. Too often those signs are ridiculously vague or seemingly contradictory.
