Also, to be honest, the traditional message board has largely gone out of style in the social media age.

It's been barely functional for the last couple months or so anyways. I still posted in the Videogame forums there occasionally but yeah I'm surprised it stayed up this long.

Might be a good incentive for me to stop posting there and post more here.

    You still post there?

I'm kinda sad it's going away. I was sad when they took down the vine/blog section too. I had written a lot of reviews that disappeared overnight one day.

Also, the original Axis of Evil group was fun to read through.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I have three small garden gnomes in my garden. They're each about three inches high. One of them I broke at the bottom so I dug him a little hole and stuck him in so it looks like he's digging his way out of the ground.

When kids come over and ask for cherry tomatoes from my garden (which happens more often than you would expect) I make them find all three gnomes first.

Unfortunately my niece and nephew found all the gnomes ages ago and that's why I never have any cherry tomatoes to take home.

My niece is getting old enough to feign being casual. She called me yesterday "just to talk." We discussed her day and the weather, and then she off-handedly mentioned that she had finished off all the zucchini chips I had made for her. You know. In case I had more zucchini chips.

"You could bring them by tonight, if you want," she said, "we're not busy."

So cute I could have died. I took over more zucchini chips.

Rotten Tomatoes finally took down their forum today.
There is an announcement up now saying it will just be down temporarily as they move to new software.

I actually hope that RT is not dead. There are still some good posters there and I have found memories of the older days.

Besides without RT this site wouldn't even exist.

I watched that when it aired for whatever reason. They really hyped the shit out of her being the first woman to pass the warped wall. Her husband (the bald guy) competed in the same episode earlier and failed at the rings part.

I'd like to think I have the upper body strength to get to those rings, but no way I could get through it.

The thing about it that the commentators keep mentioning when someone washes out is that the distance between pins gets wider as it goes on just to fuck with you. A lot of people fall because they misjudge the distance and try to hook the ring into thin air. Then once you're one handed, it takes a tremendous amount of strength to lift up and recover. Most people are done when they miss a hook.

Setting aside the uncanny similarity to Kate Mara, damn. That monkey-shimmy up the final vertical.

This is an oil fountain lamp. It is about 3 1/2 feet tall and sits in a plastic urn. It has Grecian ladies in the middle and plastic foliage at their feet. You fill it up with oil, which when it is turned on drips down the wires (if you can see them, they connect the roof to the urn) in little droplets. There is a lamp light under the roof to illuminate it.

Anyway, it's just about the ugliest, tackiest thing I've ever seen so I took a picture before I put it in the dumpster.
