I suspect that if I drank, I would be the kind of drunk that would tearfully confess my affection for everyone.

I kind of do that sometimes even if I'm just tired.

MC is unlike any other place on the internet I've ever been. Even though times can get testy, I still want more from posters who frequent. The diversity is just awesome.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Some Aussie beer, Toohey's Old and Toohey's New. It was alright for Aussie beer, I guess.

I can go either way - warm and positive, or just spoiling for a fight. And it doesn't have much to do with my mindset while drinking; I'll have an awesome night on the beer with a bunch of friends, then when I get home, I'll be like "Alright, let's pick a fight with someone!"

As someone who both hasn't slept well since he was a teenager and who's gotten pretty well accustomed to the bottom of a whiskey bottle, I can tell you they're surprisingly similar states.

I'm editing a documentary I shot for a class that's due in less than 48 hours. I should've got moving on it sooner, but I needed help translating some of my Japanese interviews, which I found I needed before I got too deep into building the thing.

Not planning on sleeping much in the near future.

Gonna party hard when it's done, though!

If the MCers ever had a real-life meetup and had a big ol' party, I can't even begin to fathom what would happen. There's so much diversity, not only in background, but in personality. If we're like this on a forum, can you imagine how we'd be in real life, especially if alcohol were involved?

It's pretty chill actually. number8, NickGlass, and I went around New York for a while, ate Indonesian food in Brooklyn, and was a great time.

Looking forward to Wats, Barty, and number8 in San Diego this weekend... And possibly even Sven/DDavis on Monday!

On a similar note, I was asked recently to edit an informative piece for an advertising agency. They liked it so much, they're going to start giving me more projects to work with very soon! To say I'm happy would be an understatement.

My mind was blown when he gave a negative review to The Seventh Seal. I never got over it.

He's older now, and surely wiser, and probably has a less volatile critical temperament, and I'd guess a greater patience for ponderous European arthouse classics.

One of my friends is like this. I don't mind it, but he'll go on and on about how you're one of his few true friends and then proceed to not call you for months.

The heat index was never going to be liveable, so I figured I may as well go to the garden. It needed serious tending-- leaves and stems dead, disentangling vines, weeding, dead stuff to move out, mulching, etc.

    I estimated two hours.

I was out for almost four, and only left when it got dark, because it's illegal to stay in the park after dark. I wasn't even finished mulching-- I have about ten more feet. I felt okay while I was doing it, and kept hydrated, so I didn't realize how wrecked I was until I was walking home (less than half a mile) and kept having to stop and rest. I was completely soaked with sweat-- even my shorts-- and my hair!

I was also incredibly dirty. Not, like just wash with soap dirty, but having to scrub hard with a washcloth dirty. Had to take a very serious shower.

I tried to get a picture of how scratched up my arms are, but my camera is kind of crappy. I don't know if you can see it. They are much redder in real life.

But my garden is beautiful. DEDICATION.
    ...and the milk's in me.

I've never had Aussie beer. I don't think Fosters actually counts as real Aussie beer, or so I've been told.

When I get drunk I talk way too much, but hell I post way too much here while sober so eh.

Made a strawberry/blueberry pie for Fourth of July that went over really well.

Just made some excellent oatmeal raisin/chocolate chip cookies.

If I don't become a writer, I could actually be kinda happy as a baker.
