Dimples are definitely attractive on women, and I've never once thought about it as a child-like quality.
Carey Mulligan comes to mind. She's very attractive yet the main complaint I hear about her is that she looks perpetually 16 years old. The dimples don't help. I feel the same way about my freckles, Mara. I'm rarely complimented on them. I just assumed nobody took note of them from an attractiveness standpoint but they probably play a large role in people thinking I look 5-10 years younger than I am. As with any feature it's probably only important to the degree to which you already are attracted to that person. If you are attracted to them and you like dimples that will only make them more attractive to you but you're not likely to find them attractive simply because they have dimples.

But I'm extrapolating. I'm not a guy. Maybe someone on this board is getting stiff right now just reading the word "dimples".

See, someone likes them. Here's your next suitor, Mara. Cross your fingers that he's Mormon.

It's Friday, I can't get any work done, and I'm going to a Mike Birbiglia standup tonight. I'm in a mood.

:P I'm just being an idiot, super jealous about Mike Birbiglia though.

Sometimes icine can ruin a really good cake, though. Or it would be great with the cake but there's just WAY too much icine and more cake is necessary to balance out the taste. Otherwise you have to scrape some icine off and then the whole package just doesn't look as pretty anymore and the experience is kind of ruined.

(I'm seriously just talking about icine here.)

I've become the go-to hatchet person at work, in the sense that I have to watch people empty their desks and then escort them out after they've been laid off, and there's been a lot of that recently due to some reorganization.

    I hate it.

I think the reason I have to do it is because they heard somewhere that Friday afternoons are the best time to let someone go, and none of the administrative people like to work on Friday afternoons.
    ...and the milk's in me.

These are all possibilities. Sometimes you get a bland, buttery frosting that just makes you feel fat and gross but you eat it anyway because it's 3am and the cake is just right there in the fridge.

Didn't you have to evict someone a few months ago? You seriously have the worst job.

I don't like dimples. It's like a part of the person is missing; it would be like dating someone without a soul.

I have a single dimple. Right cheek. I feel like the lamest X-man ever.

How do you deal with that kind of duty?

I look solemn and say things like "I'm so sorry" and "Take all the time you need."

It's not like I do it constantly, but about four times in the last year. I don't do the actual "We're letting you go" speech... someone else does that and bolts, and I just do the clean-up.

    It sucks.

90% of the time, I'm actually helping people and doing good in the world. Just... not all the time.

Just arrived in Shanghai. Really need to get around the great firewall of China, this is doing my head in.

MatchCut is pretty much the only thing I can access at this point. Please be excited.

    Shoe, what do you need?

I imagine you're starved for Western style news out there, so you should probably know that the woman who voiced Smurfette died recently.

Also, Matthew Lilliard announced his intention to run for the presidency in 2017.

So far, no one has had the heart to tell him that he's got the date wrong.

If someone could find an online proxy that allows me to access Facebook I'd be in their debt forever.

Although I do care gravely for Smurfette and Lillard, what I really want to know is if my former classmate managed to redecorate her place in time.

Most bizarre thing so far: I was unable to access gmail until (by using a tip I found online) accessed Chinese news items on the communist party.

Also, they might be reading this now. I used to be slightly paranoid, I don't think this country's the right fit for me.

If anyone asks, my name is Mike. I'm an American citizen who just celebrate his birthday.

Match-Cut is famous for providing obscure obituary news so I think he'll be just fine in that regard.

If you knew anything about my past, you'd know this is a really bad idea.
