I think I might quit smoking. I only smoke about 3 cigarettes a day but...well, I should stop. I really have no good reason to be doing it. Except that I enjoy it. I think ten years has been enough to well-entrench my deep sexy voice. If I stop now maybe I can avoid sounding like John Hurt when I'm older.

I'd kind of like to maintain my ability to smoke socially, should the occasion arise. But who knows, maybe quitting will curb the enjoyment when I'm not doing it regularly.

Movie Theater Diary
Not for me. Not doing it regularly makes you savor the occasional one more. You take your time. You feel that slight buzz that you don't get when you do it regularly. I went on vacation a couple months back to visit friends who smoke and I ended up buying a pack while I was there. Had it for three weeks then finally pitched the leftovers. I can't smoke without a drink in hand these days.

This is encouraging, though. I think I'll finish up my pack and see if I can make it happen. I may have to give up Starbucks at the same time because I'm not sure it's possible to have my Starbucks without a cigarette, but I've been meaning to do that too.
