Marriages end.
Well, on that note!...

Thanks all. You know what they say.
Life's a bitch.
And she's back in heat.

And yeah DaMU that sucks, but hey its happened to me on numerous instances where I like a girl who's in a relationship. Maybe not married, though...

man, i think hearing the feelings are mutual would make that even harder to bear. hang in there guy.
And hey, maybe you'll see the guy act like a dick to her and it will be OK. Just like what happened in the Wedding Crashers!Quoting Benny Profane (view post)

Damn, DaMU, that's always rough. Kudos for being proactive, but hearing that she had feelings too, man.
Hugs all around.
Felicia Day replied to one of my tweets this morning. I am way more happy about this than I probably should be.

You're doing the right thing, DAMU, but that's really rough. I'm sorry.

Losing is like fertilizer: it stinks for a while, then you get used to it. (Tony, Hibbing)
All right, T-Mobile is done fucking me with a rusty chainsaw. I didn't want to upgrade my cell to a smartphone, because my old cell works perfectly fine for me. So, they jacked up the price on my plan so it's more expensive to keep the phone than upgrade. When I attempted to call in to talk to somebody, I got lost in a maze of shitty phone menus and advertisements and never got to an operator. I'm done. Fuck them. I'm ready to move to a different provider.
Any recommendations? I'm hoping for, "Yeah, X-Y-Z Provider is actually AWESOME. Never had a complaint," instead of, "Ehhh ... X-Y-Z Provider is what I have and they're ... okay, I guess ... kinda ... ehhh," but I won't hold my breath.
A lotta people dislike AT&T but I've had no problem with them since I switched from t-mobile back in October.

I gather one of the best things you can do is ask people you know in your area. At least in terms of actual wireless service (as opposed to customer service), reception and network reliability seems to vary from area to area. AT&T has been pretty great for me over the past, oh, 8 years, but I think in a lot of the larger metro areas it's pretty notorious. I've never had billing problems with AT&T either, but I know some people have serious complaints.
How do people here feel about the ageism and sexism inherent in the auto insurance industry?
Personally, regardless of statistics, I think that every new driver should start with carte blanche, and accidents and tickets be treated equally.

Insurance is a statistics game - statistically, the groups who are more likely to cause accidents and be in accidents cost more to insure because they are more likely to have to use the insurance.Quoting megladon8 (view post)

Yes I understand this.
But would it really be any different if they were to say "well, statistically we find that black people are more likely to get in accidents, so they should pay more for insurance"?
Why is that wrong, but it's OK for a young guy to pay double what a girl of the same age pays?

I like Verizon. Never had any problems with reception no matter where I've travelled, and any issues have been sorted out quickly and efficiently via customer service.Quoting Spun Lepton (view post)
I've decided that there are few things in life I find more annoying and inconvenient than touch screen keyboards, particularly on cell phones.
Honestly, having "Angry Birds" and the internet on my smartphone does not even come close to making up for having to write, re-write and re-re-write every text message before sending, because it is so inaccurate.
I'd take my LG Keybo back in a heartbeat.
