Can't find this anywhere on YouTube, but apparently this female reporter for a CBS affiliate was suspected of having a stroke during her report from the Grammys. She has since released a statement saying that she is absolutely fine and just stumbled over her words, but I've never seen anything like this. I seriously laughed for a solid five minutes. And I've watched the video about ten times already.
Holy shit, Gawker sites are unusable.

Watching the video makes me wanna just get her a blanket and some cocoa.

Is Christina Hendricks actually a redhead or is it just "her established look" so she continues to dye it, similar to what Emma Stone was doing?
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

Bit of Googling revealed this alleged quote from her:

“I’m dark blonde but I’ve always felt like a redhead. I started coloring my hair red when I was about 10. When I first started modeling, my agent was like, ‘It’s a disaster.’ So then I went honey blonde. Then I did a campaign for L’Oréal and they wanted red and after that, I started booking every job because there were so few redheads. So my agent let me keep it.”

Yeah, I've heard she's actually blonde. The red hair goes really well with her skin color, though.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

    I don't think they're clownish. Pam Anderson, that's clownish.

I believe very firmly that there's no one ideal body type for women. Some look good at one weight, some at another, some look better with small boobs, some with large. Hendricks is notable for looking stunning at a weight that could easily look bad on someone who was less well-distributed.

Yeah, see, I don't find her stunning. Attractive, sure, but also somewhat ridiculous. And I think that DDD breasts are clownish no matter what frame they go on. I've also never been one for the mega-voluptuous body type.

I would conditionally agree that it's very tricky to pull off.

Last year at some point I was arranging at work to have a very large number of boxes transferred from an old location into a storage unit. Most of the boxes were medical and accounting records that needed to be saved, but since my company had had that space since the 1980's, boxes of random stuff had crept in as well, and in decaying and dirty boxes, to boot. There were Christmas ornaments, handwritten notes, old electronics, etc. It was a nightmare to get sorted, and then to have the trash hauled away, and I couldn't get anyone to help me peek inside all the boxes to see if it needed to be saved or not, so I ended up doing most of that myself. Oh, oh, and spiders!

Anyway, a running theme was that I kept finding boxes that were obviously the contents of people's desks. They probably got fired, and then instead of sorting through to see what to keep, whoever had the desk next would dump it in a box and send it to storage. Lazy.

Long story short (too late!) one box I opened was full of super old porn. I mean, the pictures were in black and white. And all the magazines were "HUGE BREAST"-themed. I flipped through one out of curiosity and... oh, man. These women were so, so ugly. Before plastic surgery became the norm, most women with really, really huge breasts were either really fat, or old, or both. And with all the emphasis on the boobs, they weren't paying much attention to these womens faces, either. And the boobs were all... veiny.

    Anyway, I was totally scarred.

Why are politicians so afraid of cutting the military budget? Is it the fear of being perceived as "weak"? Because people keep talking about cutting all these minor things, and Obama's supposedly mulling over cutting energy to the lower classes, and I keep thinking that we have the largest, most expensive military in the world, and surely we can reduce that and save a lot of money without being weak. I mean, we spend more than the next fifteen countries combined.

Does that make me a pansy?

My feelings for January Jones are all mixed up with three emotional issues:

    1. I used to think she was a really bad actress. She has improved over the last couple of years, though.

    2. Her character on MM is really hateable.

    3. Jones herself comes off as cold, self-obsessed, and kind of bitchy during interviews.

So, I guess she's pretty, but I have trouble thinking warmly of her.

And, to round out the cast, I think Elisabeth Moss is average-looking, but her amazing performance on the show makes me forget her slightly weird personal life.

Politically the military industrial complex is a huge infrastructure. He probably doesn't have the political capital to begin cutting their budget. Secondly we were involved in a number of conflicts right now and I'm not really sure we can afford to cut spending there although I wish we could. Third the Muslim world is rapidly shifting and hopefully all of these in state demonstrations and struggles will result in positive outcomes for all involved but there is a lot of concern in certain circles that extremists groups are going to come into power and wage war on Israel and other non-Muslim nations. Basically in the back of his mind to some degree he might be gearing up for war with Iran.

Average looking for real life, but by Hollywood standards she's definitely on the low end. To the point where I'm surprised she got the role.

Big fan of her on the show, though.

It's frightening to think how many jobs are dependent on the military. Not just people who are in the actual military*, but companies who would have no work at all if the military wasn't their best customer.

*I'm always a little taken back when announcements like "Obama just approved 60,000 more troops to Afghanistan, they'll be there next week" are made. Do we really have that many soldiers who can just be up and transferred that quickly?
