There are few things in this world you will find more comprehensively exhausting than moving your parent from his assisted living apartment into the memory care unit. Love your parents while you still got 'em, peeps.
    I’m so sorry, bac0n.

Fire me a text any time if you need to vent. Always your friend.

Thanks for the kind words, Meg and Skitch. It was a long time coming, so not really a surprise.

Scar’s bar is always of service. However, Scar’s bar is known for over pouring and over serving.

Which is why Scar's couch being so comfortable is such a good thing.

Possibly putting in theatre style recliners / sectional in the basement....

Some dipshit who disagreed with my editor-in-chief over politics on Facebook decided to report Fox Force Five News as spam out of spite, and now neither he, I, or the rest of the writing staff can share our reviews to Facebook or Instagram. Meanwhile I'm still aiming to have reviews for Dolemite Is My Name and The Lighthouse published next Friday, but the majority of my family, friends, and the site's audience can't read them.

    Fuck.

It is so useful to take the time to investigate your candidates for local office (and, of course, fucking vote). From a quick perusal this morning, I saw one of the candidates for commissioner of public works had a website riddled with errors, including this gem: "I knows water."

Also, a candidate for mayor pledged to stop "Communist type architecture" from going up. Which.....I guess she means Brutalist or something? I see nothing like that being built or planned though. If I went into the booth just planning to vote a party ticket or guess based on who has a nice name, thar be dangers.

Colorado's legalizing sports gambling this year (more than likely) with casino taxes going to water conservation. Nice way of figuring out how to generate revenue without having taxes hit our own pocketbooks.

Ohio is supposed to be getting on board with sports books too. I hope so. I'm not a big gambler at all, but I would like to place some low key bets a couple times a year.

Where have I been? The worst accident ever derailed my entire day. I've never seen a highway "shut down" completely before. Shutdown from 3am to 8am. Left the house at 6 and promptly turned around at the end of my street when I saw my commute was 2+ hours.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Our accounts PAY us to perform these inspections so when regulatory shows up they don’t shit the bed.

Google Jethro’s BBQ. There’s a couple down there, pending where you’re at.
