I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I'm listening to the "Rainman" soundtrack (because of Kimmy Schmidt, obviously), and, while I knew Zimmer is a thievin' SOB, this is... "Sisters of Mercy"? Really?

I drove down to North Carolina to visit my sisters.

It's very green here. And at night it gets very dark.

I love living in a city, but.... so, so dark at night.
    ...and the milk's in me.

Hey. So I got into a car accident this past Thursday. My first collision. I hit my chest on the steering wheel (air bags didn't go off). The front of the car is screwed up and given how beat up my car is before, it's basically now undrivable. Thankfully I'm okay. I just walked away with some bruised ribs.

I'm just without a car working six days a week at Disneyland. It's rough. I created a GoFundMe page to hopefully raise some quick cash to buy a replacement car (insurance doesn't cover a rental car) so I can keep my job without relying on cast members to carpool.

    Check it out: http://www.gofundme.com/yg9h9s9s

You can donate if you want, but I'm putting it out to share and stuff. Thanks.

Step 1. Announce your Republican candidacy in a whoopin' and a hollerin' press event.
Step 2. Offend a minority group.
Step 3. Have another Republican speak ill of your comments about said minority group. Let them build a campaign around it.
Step 4. Drop out of the race.
Step 5. Watch the Republican who dissented on your opinion take the lead in Republican polls with (hopefully?) the refreshed support of said minority group.
    Step 6. ???
    Step 7. Republicans win!!

Things that annoy me on the Internet today:

    - Clickbait articles that insinuate we all allowed Bill Cosby to drug and rape women because he was black and on a tv show.
    - Net dorks that say Ben Affleck will wreck Batman because hes a terrible actor.

Complaining about the actor playing Batman is really kind of pointless when you're talking about a Zack Snyder film.

Concerned that Google hacked my brain last night while I was sleeping, and used what they learned to create their homepage. Going to need to start sleeping with aluminum foil wrapped around my head.

So today a customer went mental on me because they didn't agree with one of our company-wide policies.

He called me a "retarded asshole", then said "I thought Lowe's was an American company, but you're so retarded I'm thinking you must be French".

I replied "look sir, calling me a 'retarded asshole' is one thing, but French? That's crossing a line."

He wasn't too impressed with my answer, but my manager couldn't stop laughing.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

I know we've got some other fans here. The Dissolve just shut down.

Film websites just can't operate in the black anymore, yo. Clickbait film blogs barely do, let alone a criticism site like Dissolve.

Yeah, very sad. Mostly because it means that those people won't work all in the same place anymore and the interaction between them was one of my favorite parts of the site.

Horribly depressing news, though I was preparing for it yesterday when The Dissolve didn't finish posting its usual list of daily features. A great site that mixed professional weekly criticism with more sustained takes on interesting cinema, their Movies of the Week features were my favorites.

Sad that this is the case. Hopefully the writers will find a good landing place--I'd grown to love their features. Maybe this is why I'll have to finally join twitter: To keep track of where they end up.

Also worried that Slant's stopped bothering with links of the day, leaving Ebert's site to be the only site on my rotation that catalogues film news semi-regularly...

Meanwhile, it's been reported that PewDiePie made $7.4 million last year.

    God bless the internet.

In the black means they are making money and cash flow positive. In the black is good. In the red is bad.

    ?

Yes, I know, that's why I said most film sites aren't. They are not making money.

OK got it. The way you phrased it, it seemed like you were saying they couldn't operate while in the black. I see what you meant was they can't achieve getting to be in the black.
