Don't worry, I missed that too. Seems there is very good reason to revisit this soon.
Some good theater-going for me in the next few months. Tomorrow it's Creation (Stan Brakhage) and The Secret Garden (Phil Solomon) et al.; then late Feb., Eustache's The Mother and the Whore and then...
Hip hip, hurray!
She reminds me of Asia Arengto.
Baloney!
How is this band not more well-known? Each thing I find out about them is cooler than the last thing.
Babel is just too easy, too simple. It feeds the viewer everything and that's why Hollywood loves it.
WOW! Why did you guys never tell me about the band Sparks?
Of all the things you could make as an avatar from that movie, why would you want one that just says "Enter"? Hell, at least use the "Enter" sign from their balcony.
I can't even remember the ending. Great movie though.
Man, I've just discovered Renoise and I think it's going to be my new DAW. Daniel, have you ever used this? It's tracker-based. I think this will be perfect for me.
I've been listening to a lot of Can today. Here is how'd I'd rank the three albums I've been enjoying immensely:
1. Ege Bamyasi
2. Tago Mago
3. Future Days
Does anyone here like Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors? I'm going to give it a watch this weekend if I can.
I went ahead and fixed it for you.
Really? I think I've heard him use it several times before. I thought that was one of his words.

The plot of this new Lucky McKee movie doesn't sound too bad and I wasn't a fan of May back when I saw it. I'd see it again.
I agree with you here. I think he began to craft some well-rounded characters in The Dark Knight, which helped liven things up a bit (to his defense, he's crafted some pretty neat characters...
If I actually sat down and watched this all the way through, it'd probably be my favorite. I have to agree with baby doll regarding the Batman movies. My favorite would be a toss-up between Batman...
Indeed! First Spinal with Dogtooth, now this.
He's probably my greatest find in the last few years and it's so great that DVD companies are finally releasing his work (Criterion, and soon Second Run and Masters of Cinema).
So why only three stars then? If your alluding to the ambiguous characters in the second paragraph is to be taken as a complaint, I'd stay away from his Fontainhas movies.
I'm glad you're seemingly enjoying Costa as much as I am. Beyond his films, I've very much enjoyed reading and watching interviews with him and can't wait to delve further into the Criterion set and...
How is this any different than a red ****? If Duke hasn't seen nearly as many movies as you have, shouldn't we assume the * represents a red **** for you?
lolz :frustrated:
Meg if you ever write a book, ask the publishers to pay you by the paragraph.
