Kind of like Death Wish 3 then? I don't think they went out to make a parody but the third installment is pretty hilarious - probably the best of the bunch.
totally unrelated: Starz and their BS...

Just the one so far - I expect it will be in the top 10 - re-watching a lot of movies.
1. Félicité (2017, Alain Gomis) - Amazon Prime
Oh - didn't know this was Vinterberg. It's $6.99 rental via Prime - is it free or cheaper on another service?
Does Shudder have an ever increasing number of available films or a fixed number that they rotate?
Oh man, I might have to do this too. Many of my DVDs look pretty bad on my new TV.
Which do you like better? Millennium Actress or Perfect Blue? Or Paprika?
I really like this. Where did you get to see it - I'd love a rewatch.
Oh G*d I couldn't hit the escape button fast enough - sorry.
Have you seen Southern Comfort?
Has anyone here watched the extended cut of Margaret? Any thoughts? Unfortunately, I just re-watched the short version a second time - even though both are available to me. I have no idea why...
Where did you get to see this? "Location NYC shooting" always reminds me of Mann's Side Street with shots of car chases in empty Manhattan streets.
I think it's because there's less interest in telling a story - it's just plain over-indulgence.
To me, the entire story of Dune (first book) is a retelling of the historical Birth of Islam with Paul Atreides (Kyle's character) standing in as Mohammed.
I'm not a big fan of the book (never felt the need to read any of the sequels) and don't know why it was so popular. It's well written I suppose especially for Sci Fi from that period.
Gah, Lynch's Dune is awful! I could only get through half of it in a rewatch last night. What went wrong between The Elephant Man and this mess? It's not just the screenplay - I don't know how Mr....
Re-watched the hilarious Tropic Thunder and for the entire movie I thought it was Geoffrey Lewis playing Nick Nolte's role.
I wouldn't blame the actors. Maybe the director, script girl, or continuity man?
Rewatched it again recently - season 4 is soooo much of a downer. There is extremely little to "laugh" about in this season.
I'm really bothered by a trumpet player being focused on while it's obviously a saxophone (nowhere to be seen) at the end of Ms. 45.
Finished the first season the other night. Too much senseless/pointless violence for me. For instance, the scene where Ford has Bernard kill himself - that's a fairly powerful moment, but it's...
Why did James William Guercio only direct once - because Electra Glide in Blue is one amazing movie!
The show has an anti-science vibe (maybe even agenda) - that's ok if that's what it wants to do but it made me lose interest.
Hah, all the scenes shot in the Sopranos household are lighted as if it were a Rosanne episode. Way too much lighting! I figure their first year budget wasn't that great but they decided to keep the...
My August post looks good. Been watching lots of TV, like Sopranos for the first time...
Yeah, I'm in - sounds interesting. What's the first film? Having a bunch of us watch the same film week after week and commenting on it sounds cool to me.
Edit: so Paris, Texas is #1 - that link...
