I got an extra $3 a week. So I'm doing twice as good as Paul Ryan's secretary friend.
I went to the noon matinee showing of this, and the theater was packed. I ended up about four rows back from the screen in a large auditorium. A little girl walking in in a dashiki and T'Challa mask...

Yeah. This is pretty indefensible.
On the other topic, Tarantino says he never got into contact with Maureen Dowd. The NY Times has said Dowd contacted his publicist who said Tarantino was made...
I wonder how well Tarantino's oeuvre will stand the test of time.
The last time I watched Pulp Fiction I didn't find it as electrifying as I used to, the "dead n----r storage" has aged extremely...

I love Bridge of Spies, and Lincoln is really, really good. The Post is not on that level.
Someone informed me that Ollie's (a Big Lots-type store) was had a bunch of DC graphic novels super cheap.
I picked up the first volume of the Starman omnibus (which I've wanted to read forever),...

Not so fast.

I got to write this article on the same day I wrote a story about 9 people becoming U.S. citizens. Brutal.
Video games are the only habit I occasionally feel ashamed about.
I was initially going to say Rihanna's music, but I don't know that I'm actually embarrassed by that.
Let's play the ranking game!

I feel like I finally have a respectable top 10 (I've only seen 23 films this year thus far. I can't believe I used to watch ~80 new releases a year at one point.)

2. Personal...
The Master isn't masterpiece level?
This is a film I couldn't have had less interest in given the subject matter, but I was engrossed from very early on. I agree with Wats in that it feels like a...
A sheriff's deputy referred to detective for a local police department using that word recently, and it caught me off guard.

I saw Al’s wife today at their convenience store and deli. She wasn’t even allowed to say goodbye to him. Had to talk to him on a phone through glass.
This is a guy who agreed to leave the...
Me too, and unfortunately it is the countertop at my apartment.
Fortunately, I'm the only one who has to read my notes. At least provided I don't get sued for libel.
