Also, props to Tony Gonzalez. Guy's trapped in a place he doesn't want to be, in a game he can't win, and he's still the only guy on the team puttin' up numbers.

Jesus, this Bears-Vikings game is entertaining!
You know, its too out of the realm of possibility to wonder if Wade Phillips is getting canned at the end of the season. Maybe he won't, but I know my Cowboys fan friend is probably extremely pissed right now.
Oh man the Packers are going to lose today. But I picked them to win in pick 'ems anyways, cause they're at home and part of me believes. Plus I don't like Peyton Manning.
Actually the Rams winning is good for the Chiefs. I'm now hoping that somehow Cincy and the Lions win too, but I think both of them actually have a shot at the '76 Bucs record of sucking. This affects how high of a draft pick KC will have in the offseason. Its sad but true that the draft is all I have to look forward to with this team. Carl Petterson must go.
Man that Bears-Vikings game was highly entertaining, and utterly crazy. Wow.
I wouldn't be surprised if Wade Phillips was fired at any moment, which is the same thing I've felt since he was hired. The fact that he's lasted this long is pretty amazing.
Norv Turner's in the same boat. Somewhere, Marty Schottenheimer is laughing.
Good to know I'm not the only one who thinks this. The guy is like Barry Switzer, only with coaching ability ;)
Well Marty can't laugh too much, considering that the Chargers actually won a playoff game last season. Something they didn't under Marty. But he can still laugh considering how inconsistent SD has been this season.Quote:

Also Buffalo Bills 5-1. Fantastic. They're now get slowly closer to the old days, when they went to and lost Super Bowls  My nightmare though is Buffalo faces the Titans in the AFC title game and lose again like they did back in 2000. Stupid goddamn Music City Miracle....*grumble grumble*
Still, both Phillips and Turner got their jobs based on working under Schott, and both are under as much scrutiny as any coach in the league due to the teams they inherited. Norv has consistently made bonehead moves, and the fact that he did win that playoff game is nothing short of amazing.
Phillips, on the other hand, was only hired as a stopgap, and he knows it. I feel sorry for the guy.
Jay Glazer is/was (the article is now blank?) claiming that Brett Favre has been giving information to the Packers' opponents to help them prepare.
If it's true, they deserve it.
BTW, how funny is it that there was a "power outage" before the Chargers lost to the Bills.
I can see the headlines now...
That was a completely unexpected awesome team performance. :pritch:
Nothin' better than victory formation going into the bye week.
News Report: Ted Thompson giving Jets opponents inside tips on how to stop Brett Favre.
Yeah that's true about both of them. Norv was a laughable hire from the start, even with the Chargers making the playoffs and all the year he was hired.
As for Philips, I do agree that he seems like a nice guy who really shouldn't be the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Its Jerry Jones' team, first and foremost, and until that changes whoever has the job will be second fiddle. Jones is like Davis in that both of them really don't seem to care that these days the head coach has more power and say than back in the old days. And even back then the coach still had a decent amount of power.
Bummer about Favre losing, although he didn't help his cause by throwing two picks. I can't believe that the Packers crushed the Colts, but it was fantastic to watch. You know, I think I've been a bit too harsh on Rodgers, and I have to commend him for playing with an injured shoulder. Today I saw the Packers play up to their potential, and it was good.
Well, I certainly don't feel bad about the Skins losing to the Rams last week. The Rams new coach sure lit a fire under that teams ass.
I despise the last second icing the kicker crap every coach thinks is a good idea so the Raiders really deserved to lose in OT on that play alone. Unfortunately the Jets played like shit and we wind up lose a gimme game.
Favre sucked, but so did everyone else aside from our run defense.
Well I should have added "However I didn't see the entire game" to my post. I'm glad you showed up to shade light on the game, as I live in the midwest and thus did not get to see any of it aside from highlights on ESPN.
Also icing the kicker is indeed a stupid play that never works. So I agree with you shaun.
Mike Nolan is out in San Fran, Mike Singletary is in as head coach.
I feel bad for Nolan (He wasn't the worst coach in that state, and I'm not even counting the Raiders!), but it's cool to see Singletary get a shot.
Maroney Placed on IR
Is it too soon to call him a complete bust?
Alright, more fantasy football fun....
I've got Carson Palmer riding my bench and looking unlikely to return soon. My options for replacing him are Matt Hasslebeck, who "could" return this week, Trent Edwards, Jeff Garcia, and Marc Bulger. Discuss.
In the meantime, I just need to keep hoping that I can play 3 RBs and they can total 106 points every week, like they did this time.
Trent Edwards is the best of the bunch. Jeff Garcia isn't a bad option either. If Bulger could showcase more consistency he'd be worth a damn, but that's doubtful although the Rams have been playing good the past two weeks. So yeah Edwards if he's available is the one you should pick up.
Edwards or Garcia. It's a crapshoot either way with those two. Garcia is playing the Cowboys in Dallas, but their defense has looked awful. Edwards is playing the Dolphins in Miami. Their defense has been decent at best, but it's a rivalry game of sorts. I'd probably go Edwards.
