Derek Jeter and Larry Walker in the Hall of Fame.
BASEBALL IS BACK!
I really like the Reds this season. They brought up good talent and signed some great free agents. Would love to see a surprise show up.
The Reds look in good shape. I'll go with Yankees over Braves for the World Series.
Hendricks dealing last night makes me smile.
I just wonder if this is the year that The Twins finally figure out how to beat The Yanks in the post season. I mean, last year, they fielded the most homerun-hitting team in MLB history and STILL they couldn't do it.
(probably didn't help that The Yankees themselves fielded the 2nd best homerun-hitting team in history the same year.)
Ten Marlins confirmed with Covid-19. Both their game and the Phillies/Yankees game are postponed since the Marlins played them.
The bad planning from the MLB shows immediately. No real plan on how to handle these forfeited games... Do the Marlins get an L? Will the Marlins just have to do a double header in Baltimore instead? Is there even enough "farm players" to replace the others? How about the terrible sense of social distancing that all teams evidenced over the weekend?
I don't recall why they stepped away from the Arizona/Florida idea... but the NBA/NHL idea seems to be the way to go.
It's a shame, because I was loving some baseball, but can't see how they can really continue on since there wasn't a good plan.
NBA/NHL are sitting on the hope that their players remain truthful and good in staying within their bubbles.
NHL doesn't make sense. Why ban baseball in Toronto but allow NHL?
The Yankees are the Twins' kryptonite. Bummer. I hate the Yankees.
The Cubs bullpen is a dumpster fire and there is no way they will keep winning if it stays that way.
The MLB was foolish to think cross country travel was a good idea. I'm skeptical the season will survive.
I'll enjoy the Rockies winning ways while it lasts!
I watched The Twins' home opener against The Cards, and I must admit it was rather surreal. Pumped in crowd noise and organ music in a stadium that was empty but for the teams themselves.
Must admit tho that I was glad it was there. Complete silence would have been too depressing to bear.
Side Note: Some of the players on the Cards team look like they're barely out of junior high.
Not interested in this season at all but the players need it so let them play as long as they stay safe. Are they actually piping in fake audience response? Ugh!
I think the fake crowd noise is just for the broadcast?
The Cubs keep winning despite their crappy bullpen. The starting pitching has been mostly fantastic.
Don't count the Spiders out this year.
Kudos to the MLB for finishing the season on time and every game (likely) getting played.
Hate the idea of a Best of 3 series for 1 vs 8... Can almost guarantee a 7 or 8 seed will advance.
I watched a total of 1.25 total games this year.
How's Cleveland looking this year?
